17 in six weeks, with a mother who thinks I spend every minute of my time before and after school that doesn't involve homework, eating, chores, sleeping, hitting the head, and getting ready for school playing SHIII. Thank you Ubisoft!

51 - I was actually on a U-Boat

Well I'm 52 actually and I was never on a real U-Boat but I have visited the Finnish sub "Vesikko", the Type IIA prototype. I have also been to Chicago on several occasions but never had time to see the U-505:cry: .
I did once spend a day at sea in a Royal Navy "A Class" boat, while doing an underwater warfare course.

Have 400 or so people really voted in this poll?

Gosh.

CptGrayWolf 06-05-06 04:16 AM

33 years old, life is short folks, play hard.
If there's a good looking gal you've been meaning to ask out, go for it!

Baby Boomer here. 51 yrs. Been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Wife would rather have me on the computer @ home than bar hopping and chasing skirts;)

Oddly, my wife would prefer it the other way around. :hmm: I don't understand the logic - she complains when I'm on the computer, she complains when I'm at the pub, so I don't see the difference either way.

I,m 49

Other games are Doom3, Doom3 ROE, Medal of Honor(Assault,Breakthrough,Pacific Assault) CSI Miami

Given that situation, I would opt for the Pub.:p

Surely the difference is :- When you are in the pub you can't hear her complaining:()1:

A friend of mine's three sons all grew up as tabletop wargamers. When his wife complained that's all they ever did, he replied "Well, they could be out on the streets playing with guns and drugs instead".

Funny, I voted back when the poll was new, and I could have sworn I posted something then. Anyway, I'm 56, still play in a rock 'n' roll band, still ride motorcycles, still...well, that parts none o' your business.

zpn09 06-05-06 12:48 PM

Just turned 18 here :D Been today to some place to pick up my ID  Now I can buy beer without feeling nervous that they won't sell it to me :arrgh!:

Hey man, you can't drop it with "none o' your business". Guys our age should boast about it.:yep: :rotfl:

coronas 06-05-06 01:04 PM

I'm a 45 years young. I like air sims and sub sims and never refused the next beer or the last pub....and blues, blues, blues...

rls669 06-05-06 01:28 PM

That's a really nice distribution on the age graph.

Just as well your U-Boat crew don't want a captain who is drunk on duty. :p

Funny thing is, you would think it would be biased towards the young'uns, yet it seems to be the opposite (slightly).

Rose 06-05-06 03:40 PM

Well, I think most people my age enjoy games where you run and gun as opposed to realistic WWII naval simulations...

Saintaw 06-05-06 04:25 PM

<-- Generation X :)

Floater 06-05-06 04:51 PM

Actually, I expected the demographic to be older on average - it seemed to be that way with SH2/DC players. Kind of a skewed bell-curve.

45 here, BTW.

Kapitan_Phillips 06-05-06 05:35 PM

17 with a submarine fan girlfriend.

All I can say is "w000000000000000000000000000000000t" :arrgh!:

Some say I'm a 40 year old in a teenagers shell. What, being 6' 6" and all, kind of skews that. Other things that are unusual for my age:

I love 60's music
I love Kraftwerk (its a very 'aquired' taste)
I have size 15 feet (O_O!)
I dont smoke, or do drugs (though the occasional brandy has passed my gums >_>)
I know more about Russian Sonar than I do about my AS Biology syllabus
I know who Chuck Norris is
I possess a Chuck Norris t-shirt
I actually want my Commodore 64 back.
