Read an article about Russian hybrid war and the military expert they have interviewet said this around hybrid war
'Hybrid war is a state of conflict that lies somewhere between war and peace.' I agree with him-It's not a real war. But it can turn into a real war if Russia keeps on conducting hybrid war against NATO/Europe. Markus |
We are probably now at or very near to the previous Cold War level.

These videos' headlines are hilarious.
Putin did not end gas supply to Europe, but a treaty between Ukraine and Russia to transfer Russian gas through Ukraine has ended and was not not extended by Ukraine, and Kyiv annoucned it wouldn't extend it since very long time, since it directly finances their enemy's war economy. |
The video headlines are nearly always the attraction magnet :yep:

Russia misses out on billions that it could put to good use, Slovakia, Austria now have to start paying a higher price for gas and lose revenue for transit. Totally threatening is the situation for Moldova but most for the Transnistria region. In mid-winter, the Transnistria region in particular risks being without heat and hot water. Citizens there are encouraged by their energy companies to use energy sparingly by wearing thick clothes and sharing rooms with many people.
Gazprom still supplies about 10% of total consumption to Europe. Of that, 5% now remains (which goes mainly to Hungary and Serbia via Turkey). Ukrainians can be happy that Russia no longer receives gas billions for supply through the Brotherhood pipeline. For its own energy supply, the damage is also manageable, analysts say. The country has some of its own fossil fuels to get through the winter. And it also imports electricity from Europe. That Slovak Prime Minister Fico threatened that he might send less electricity from Slovakia to Ukraine will not matter, Poland will supply its electricity to Ukraine. The only real loser here is Russia and his cronies. Ukraine will provide electricity to Moldova to cover the deficit in its energy system. Moldovan state-owned company Energocom announced the purchase of electricity. |
