Thank you for additional pics !

In fact, despite of the grey paint, we can still discern a very slight difference of color between hull and superstructures : the hull has a slightly darker grey.

Hi everyone!

So, here you could find two ships:
1. RMS Mauretania with cured bugs
2. HMT Mauretania.

Hi texelbo!

Extremely well done, as expected

Just a question, in my installation i've problems with materials assigned to rafts who are added late in the war. Is this a mine ID related problem maybe?

Best regards,
Vd

Hi VonDos.
Honesty speaking it IS last bug of model - I done everything to resolve it but without positive result. Here were two materials on node: one for raft and another for support frame. It should have worked, but it didn't.

Hi texelbo!
I see, i've tested some "fast" solutions, but nothing seems to work. "Steel" texture still assigned to rafts' nodes, without assigned material OR with different assigned material. Really strange.
Could this be related with the use of 2 different materials, maybe?
In that case, raft and support frame's models could be separated into library's dat, with the boring need to use 2 nodes with a single material for every original raft into ship's dat.
Well, maybe you tested this months before my idea :D sorry in that case.
Just trying to figure an interesting puzzle :03:

Best regards,
Vd

With discernment of the hull looking darker than the superstructures gray, is owing to the fact that the hull was black (which on reflection, is as dark as 1 can go on the color spectrum.. :hmmm:) which, attributes to the eyes discerning it to be darker.

That's simple artists knowledge.

Hope that helps.. :yep: as always.. :shucks:

You could add the raft as a child node of the support, and place them in a Library_file.dat. Then, you only have to add placement nodes or #cfg nodes (with a reference to these nodes in ship.eqp) for each pair {support + raft} in the ship.dat.

Yep, but can you do this without import material and child model's tga texture into library file? :hmmm:

I never see a placement with an external texture. But "i never see" isn't equal to "it's impossible"... :salute:

Best regards,
Vd

You can place the ship's textures in the data/Textures/TNormal/tex folder, and then use them from both the ship.dat and the Library_file.dat

А разве это должно было сработать? По мне, так и не должно было с двумя-то материалами. Как моделька поймёт, что надо использовать две шкурки, без явного указания? Помоему никак. Почему бы не использовать папку tex? Простое и логичное решение.

Could you do hmt mauretania 1 or rms mauretania 1?
