Just I have never seen such a convoluted way to install a mod! |
Can you "7zip" the executable and get the files out properly that way? Then just make it JSGME compatible? :salute:

New remark: when I export and re-import a city's house, the model which was textured with 2 textures is now textured with only one. It looks like that a special function is missing in the S3D import window...:hmmm:
|
I'd say you are doing something wrong.
I've exported/imported MANY things and multiple textures are not a problem. Send me a link to the files involved. |

There are texture files in the dat, generally close-by, but not always. Look up top in the nodes. You might have to look at the texture to export the correct one, but export it and put it above your exported city house. :salute:

Maybe you've to add the missing .tga manually after re-import of material:

Could you try to reproduce my experiment? First, you have to change some of the settings of both tga involved: - the "specular strength" of both tga must be different than 0, else the model will look plain black; - you have to assign a different "diffuse color" for both texture (for instance white for the first, and yellow for the other one) Then see how it's look like visually in the Model preview window (select the node of the model in the list on the left side, and (in Model preview windows) click on "c" to center view on it: windows and doors should be painted with a different color than walls and roof. Now, export the 3D model (in fact 2: ----.obj and -----uv2;Obj), and re-import them (just select the ----.obj, the -uv2.obj will be selected automatically) and be sure that the option "collapse subobjects to single mesh" is selected in the import window. Now, look at the model in the Model preview windows... What do you see? |
Hello guys,
If you find some free time during this week-end, I'm still interested in solving the problems discussed in this thread. Many thanks! :Kaleun_Salute: |
Any news ? :wah:
|
Still no answer, no solution. So nobody know how to solve my problem...
