I wasn't very old at that time. I was with my Father visiting some relatives, I guess it was. He was a very old man and I thought that he was very very rich. He had a parcel filled with German Reichsmarks.
Later on I learned that those money was worth nothing.

Reminds me of a history lesson in school many years ago where in the book we were reading was a picture of an old lady pushing a wheelbarrow full of bank notes...the caption underneath explained it was just enough to buy a loaf of bread at the time. |
