Don't have that channel(due to some rules when living in an another country)

Have to follow the ongoing game result on the internet.

I hope they win this game.

And so they did 2-0 thanks to the Ameobi brothers

Next round Newcastle v Leeds....does Pardew play the useless second eleven or the terrible first team for the third round?

Highbury 08-28-13 04:14 PM

I feel I cannot contribute to a football thread until Wenger actually DOES SOMETHING!

Guess it would have been a scandal if they had lost that match or had played a draw against this 2nd league team Morecambe

Is Newcastle playing to win the League Cup trophy

or the series ? or perhaps both?

I'm sorry I'm not so much into English football slang, most of the words written here can be sometime difficult to understand. Every sport article regarding English football and Newcastle I get from Swedish and danish sports paper/INTERNET.

Yeah but then Pardew had a fit. ("OMG they are trying to buy a player, how disrespectful!") When did making a bid during the transfer window become disrespectful?

Maybe he was just talking about Wenger's offer... that man seems to think inflation is a myth and still offers 1990's fees.

TarJak 08-28-13 05:27 PM

Hammers scraped by with a 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town. Stoke next up on Sunday.

Nice draw haven't been to St James Park since January 2004 when a certain Alan Shearer scored the only goal of the game. But having said that was the last these two teams met in a competitive match.
Not going to predict a score just yet :hmm2:

I should imagine Newcastle are simply just trying to survive atm.

I watched the game on tv and Sky only broadcast it because there were expectations a giant killing was on the cards.

I don't disagree but I think Pardew was talking a bit of both.

Cabaye still has three years on his contract so I expect he'll go to Arsenal nearer the end of the transfer deadline for maybe £15 million.

Not a footy fan, but, what a shame. NOT.

Did you know that most of the people I work with prefer the English Premiership due to the fact several teams have a chance of winning it?

Scottish Premier League: Rangers or Celtic, Celtic or Rangers. Oops, there go Rangers. Celtic or Celtic?

Mike.:hmmm:

Here's a question about betting or something that's a sort of.

In Denmark and Sweden we called it Tips

Here's a page from the Swedish play(=svenska Spel)

What you see is Stryktipset. It is in Swedish but look at the coupon

It's for next week(36) playround

Match 1 is: Bradford Vs Brentford
Match 2 is: Brist C Vs Shrewb.
and so on until match 13

You must find the correct sign(sorry I don't know the correct words Here we called it tegn=sign). Said in a long story, you have to find out if it's a home win(1) a draw(x) or a guest win(2) in every of these 13 matches.

https://svenskaspel.se/?pageid=/sport/stryktipset

I know I have asked about this before in one of our old NFL-thread, but I can't remember getting any answer to it( I can't find this thread)

We have lots of betting here to. We called it Oddset

Ohh by the way-my team won today-Hurray

Markus

Jimbuna 08-31-13 03:29 PM

Here in the UK we call it 'Fixed Odds Betting' a home or away win or a draw.

Ben Arfa certainly done the business for us today :yeah:

Palace as well in beating the mackems (a Brit jibe) :sunny:
