When you do a uninstall there are saved folders found in MY DOCUMENTS. These save game folders need to be manually deleted. Then proceed with fresh install

can you post some screenshots including one of JSGME maybe we can get a idea of what is going on

Yes, Sir! :)

1. Here is the contents of the directory in which
SH4 1.5 is located:

2. Here is JSGME before activating anything

3. Here is JSGME during activation of TMO

4. Here is JSGME after installation of TMO

Unfortunately I couldn't take screenshot from 'inside' SH4 itself -
my screen capture software produces only pitch black pictures...

Yes: I know I must sound like a moron - but hey: It's the first time
I used the screen capture program...

As I said: SH4 looks the same and plays the same - with or without
TMO 'enabled'...

Many thanks to you fine seamen for caring and helping me! :salute:

At what point during the career did you install the mods. Depending on what the mod does, you need to start it at different points. The mega mods need to start a new career. The large ones like OTC, you can start in mid career, but need to be in base to take effect.

At no time actually. I tried to activate TMO with a clean untouched installation
of SH4 1.5. Is that wrong?

Thank you, Sir! :) I will do that!

In your first screen, you have 1_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5 outside the MODS folder. I think it should be inside the MODS folder. There might be other problems, though.

magic452 03-28-13 01:14 AM

TMO 2.5 needs to be in the Silent Hunter 1.5\Mods folder.
Unzip TMO to that folder. Silent Hunter 1.5\Mods\TriggerMaru_overhaul_2.5

Magic

Thank you! The TMO zip outside the MODS folder
was still there after I unzipped it into the MODS
directory. I forgor to delete the zip file, now its
done. No changes...

Here is the contents of my MODS folder:

And here is the JSGME config file:

Kind regards and thanks for your support!

Ok, I see the mod in your MOD folder. Now you need to activate them via the JSGME.exe. Click on that to open it. It will look like this.

http://s4.postimage.org/d13zkpdkp/JSGME.png

On the left is the mods. Highlight a mod and click the > to move it to the right. To be sure. Activate TMO 2.5 Overhaul first. The remaining mods activate after that is completed.

Yoshiki 03-28-13 09:24 AM

Well - what can I say...

It works now - - but I don't know why... Sure I'm happy! :)

Last thing I did was uninstall the not working TMO and
unzip it into a folder named ...\MODS\1_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5
instead of ...\MODS\TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5

Then I activated 1_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5

Started the game and: 'The galopping ghost on the Japanese coast'
was there! :)

Can it really be so that the '1_' at the beginning of the mods name
makes all the difference?? Very strange.
Perhaps the different name triggered something?

TMO looks great and I have all easter to play around with it and
get used to it! :)

One last question - then I won't bother you nomore:

Can the following mods be installed when TMO is already installed?
In that order?

- RSRDC_TMO_V502
- RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
- Improved Stock Environment_v3_TMO&RFB

Don't worry - I will not do it now, but maybe in the future!

Thanks to you all for your help! :)

For helping a newbie and all your patience:

I salute You! :salute:

Terribly sorry to be pain in everybodys backside...

But how do I open the TMO. It is installed now and shows
in the right side of the JSGME.

I tried left click right click - but cannot 'open' it...

Armistead 03-28-13 01:39 PM

If TMO is installed on the right side, you can't open it, nor do you need to, it's working.

les green01 03-28-13 02:14 PM

No need to apologize. We're all glad to help. We remember we were all there ourselves once and asked the same questions. You'll have more, don't be afraid to ask. :shucks:
