Just don't take an innocent smarter person with you. Please.

That's the problem. I could care less for the drunk themselves.

The point I'm getting at is St. Paddies day is promoted by the bar industry to lure people to their establishments which causes more people to drive drunk and more people to die.

You stop promoting bad behavior and it usually decreases. Seems to work with cigarettes. I see no reason it couldn't work with bars as well.

I believe the actual phrase is "I couldn't care less"

If you could care less than it has some importance.

(in before Steve) :D

BTW, I agree with you.

The soluion is simple, have more pubs so that people only have to walk down the street to find a decent bar.
Either that or have a better public transport system.
Stop drink drivers, remove the car culture.:D

Bottoms Up!

Two Irishmen hired an open cockpit aeroplane to fly over Dublin on St Patrick's Day.
As they were winging their way through the air, O'Toole turned to his friend, Murphy and said, 'Murphy, I'm going to fly upside down.'
'Begorrah, O'Toole', shouted Murphy,' don't do that, we'll fall out.'
'No we won't,' responded O'Toole, 'I'll still talk to you.'

How much will a night out on the town cost per person?

example in the USA for a movie night it would be $7.50 for per ticket and another $7.00 or so for popcorn and $4.50 for a drink = $20.00 per person plus transportation to and from the theater.

How much for ya'll?

Jimbuna 03-15-13 02:13 PM

Using your criteria I'd say about £20.....$30

swamprat69er 03-17-13 11:21 AM

20 years ago a night out drinking including supper would cost me upwards of $200.oo:Kaleun_Cheers:
I have not been out drinking in 20 years. :D But I am due.

My grandfathers' father came from Ireland. I am proud of my Irish roots.

Herr-Berbunch 03-17-13 11:34 AM

I'm out for a curry tonight for the wife's birthday, I shall enjoy a great British pint of Guinness to say a secular cheers to a great British person, St. Patrick.
