Right! I was about 8 when this was on TV. Kind of foggy. Just like Rat Patrol. I remember watching it but not much detail in the program.

Again some of that was a holdover from the '60s.

Those who cannot remember history are doomed to get grief from the old guys. :O:

:hmmm:
I'd think part of your early training as a Copper would include studies of slang?

Tchocky 02-01-13 03:23 PM

Now you're on the trolley.

A native Hawaiian would say that getting your artistic side flowing was poho brah.

Your slang sounds like a love child between Peter Tosh and a gang banger something that would never happen.

Madox58 02-01-13 05:03 PM

Last Guy that called me 'Dawg' had to spend a few hours in an emergency room.

Same with the last Guy that called me Uncle Si!
(that got me kicked out of a Buffalo Wild Wings)

Dawg and all that type slang can be unhealthy depending on where you live.

Call me Dawg to my face?
I WILL bite you!
It's an insult to many.

(Disregard that if you live in Crawford County, Ohio!)

I feel you call me "dawg, dog" or dude and I don't like it from a stranger in particular. Now if I know someone personally I don't mind being called bro or something of the like brah is what a native Hawaiian says in place of bro I learned that from Hawaiian friends in military.I have a friend that calls his good friends "dot".

Uncle Si huh?

Madox58 02-01-13 05:16 PM

I don't even allow close friends to call me Dawg or however you want to spell it.
Every since that term hit the streets I've hated it.
I'll do time in jail for assault just to stand my ground on that bullcrap!

I ain't a dawg, dog, mutt, nor Uncle Si!
Insult me? I'll give one warning!
Do it again?
It's clobering time!
