Hey, i thought USA never had declared war on Germany? So how could it be ended? Hostilities can be ended, but the war cant be ended if it was never declared? Or am i wrong?

It would mean it hasn't even started, not that it never ended. Besides that, the United States did declare war on Germany immediately after Germany declared war on it.
