WWII: German VIIC/41 for its deep diving depth.

Modern: Type 212 for its sophistication and Kilo for its rugged simplicity that arguably still presents an effective tactical deterrent.

You know that there is an out of comission Oberon class sub in Sassnitz/East Germany (Dunkeldeutschland) as a tourist attraction? I have a "Oberon/Sassnitz" baseball cap and T-shirt.

I don't wear these because I have my subsim baseball cap and muscle shirt.

A Kilo is relatively small than say US or Russian nuclear boats. But if they would make it smaller so it's more suitable to coastal area I'd like it more.

Even compared to a US SSN its still quite big. I have models at the same scale of both a 688(i) and Kilo on my desk and the Kilo is 2/3rds the size of the 688(i) and is almost the size of a Trafalgar SSN. :yep:
