anyhow, I've joined up with some friends of mine who have been catastrophe insurance adjusters for many years and they have got me in on it.

we are spread out all over the country right now, and while i am not officially an adjuster yet - i have passed everything i need to pass to do it.... I'm just still in the process of on the job training paired up with a trainer at the moment.

It can be hot and sweaty work, and it can be easy or it can be an absolute nightmare in terms of how much physical work, paper work and computer work you do on one particular claim, but when the money is right, its easy to stay motivated no matter what the job.

the work appears to be slowing down where i'm currently "deployed" but even with that said i will likely be here another month. Of course with the day rates and commissions paid to Cat Adjusters it only takes 3-6 months of hard work to earn a good year's worth of income.

Just like any venture, I might succeed and i might fail... but im working hard to learn as much as i can, im putting all the chess pieces where they need to be for me to be successful and im following the advice of those who have gone before me very closely.

can't wait to see where this one takes me.

the particularly exciting thing for me is that i have been a professional pilot for 13 years - this is a major change for me... its the first job i have held in that time span that didnt involve airplanes.




thanks for all the support, it means a lot. every ounce of support helps, especially when a person finds their self in a job that may have them isolated from friends and family for any period of time.
