Living in the Hollywood area as long as I have (the better part of 40 years) and being acquainted with quite a few people in the entertainment business over that time, one hears and sees an awful lot about the lives and activities of people in the business. The amazing thing is how actually very little of what goes on actually makes it to the media. I have sometimes known about some celebrity's sexual preference, substance abuse or other aspect of their personal life long before it has com out in the press. A case in point is Ricahrd Chamberlin; he rather recently "came out" as gay but I heard about it in the mid-70's after some lady friends of mine expressed surprise after seeing him having a romantic dinner with a young man in a well-known restaurant. Later on, I would hear other stoeies about him but would never hear or see anything in the regular media.

The woman in question according to TMZ. And I thought Tiger Woods had an odd taste in girlfriends. :hmmm:

With Chamberlain, the fact that he was a sort of TV version of a "matinee idol" due to his romantic leading man roles in mini-series (such as 'The Thornbirds' and 'Shogun', etc.) made the shock of my friends even greater. It is rather surprising how really very little of the 'secret lives' of celebrities actually becomes known even in the age of TMZ and YouTube. In a parallel of the starlet being ordered to be seen with an established male star in order to futher her career, some gay or bi-sexual male stars were ordered to be seen publicly with very attractive women in order to reinforce their public image of "manliness". There are quite a few Playboy Playmates and models who are seen with men who might actually rather be seen with a centerfold from 'Playgirl'...

In regard to Arnold's 'baby-mama', does anyone else think she bears a bit of a resemblance to the 'OctMom'?

That particular story may have ended there, but I've been hearing/seeing/reading stuff about Travolta being gay and in the closet for years now. That rumor's been around for awhile and I see no signs of it going away.

The news has just broken in the last hour or so of Arnold instructing his agents to suspend and/or pull out of all entertainment projects or committments until further notice while he attends to his personal matters. This apparently includes (and this is not a joke) an animated series titled "The Governator" where Arnold is portrayed as a superhero fight evil along with his family (Maria and the kids [not including the the 'new' one]). Also, it now appears Arnold did not 'fess up' to Maria about the love child. Somehow, Maria found out, confronted the housekeeper, who admitted the affair and the paternity of her child; Maria then confronted Arnold, who only admitted after being told the housekeeper had come clean (no pun intended). So much for honest, conservative family values...

Here in California (where, incidentally almost all of the entertainment news media is headquartered, hence the extreme media interest) the Arnold situation has become a bit of a "Kharma" situation. Aside from totally trashing the state's economy even more than the the Democratic-controlled State Assembly and Senate could have managed on its own, aside from trashing the California state Republican Party even more than they could on their own, he perpetrated an unusally cynical, cruel and appalingly crass final act when he left the Goernor's office: He commuted the 16 Year manslaughter sentence of the son of a political crony to 7 years literally in his final minutes as Governor as he was walking out the office door. The California constitution mandates that the families of the victims of a fatal crime be notifed and be given the opportunity to comment or object prior to the sentence commutation, parole or pardon of the criminal. Arnold did not do this and the victim's family is livid about the commutation.

Although I despise what he did, I have to admit that that is not the most flattering picture of the other woman. I have seen other pictures and she is not that bad looking.

Yeah cheating is wrong, yeah he's an ass fro doing it. And for many more reasons too.
But just say it. I just hate this kind of tabloid-like presentation. You take the most horrible picture you can find of his mistress, and you take the most innocent-looking one from his wife. (A picture that's 14 years old btw) I'm anything but a Schwarzenegger fan but I don't know, the way this is presented pisses me off somehow.
Again, he's a jerk for what he did, but lynching is still quite popular in some places it seems.
