Be aware, the work will likely take you away from your family, as the scheduling is really unpredictable, and frequent, but it pays well, and should you ever find yourself in need, I will do my level best to land you a job. Also, it may require you to relocate, seeing as how you don't live near a rail hub. It ain't the best solution, but it is there for you if you need it.

Thanks! from the sounds of the unpredictability of scheduling and the length of time away from home, it sounds a lot like what i'll be experiencing with this job.

My friend who is on a job site right now has been there for 25 days now, and has not come home since the project started. he expects to be there about 60 days... but 90 days is probable. he says when they release him it might be 6 days or 6 months before he gets another project. so the schedule is really unpredictable, but he said i could count on $800 to $1,000 per day once i get all my on the job training done and am no longer a newbie.

again everyone, thanks for the well wishes. time to grab some food and get back to it.

:salute:

Why... I got a good offer at a point when business was slow.

What... Small shoe string budget mom and pop flight school.

I doubt I'd ever own my own business again... Lots of work, and way too much to worry about for the money.

Well they called today and asked me how soon i could be finished with my training.

I told them i was already taking the recommended pre-licensing course and could have the remainder of the course completed within a week to ten days.

i havn't heard the "your hired" phrase yet... but at least there is interest in my application.

just a little update:D
