Yeah, if it is just going to be processional behind Seb the Finger I'll just go back to watching V8 Supercars. Last weekend they actually had multiple cars changing positions on track. They call it passing. Several passes together is referred to as racing! Bernie, take note!

Which is why I'm watching the MotoGP/Moto2 instead, much more exciting:yep:

F1 needs to be beefed up.

How about racing with machine guns? :O:

Highbury 03-29-11 10:25 AM

The thing is, the boring factor is not just the cars, or the rules, it is also the drivers we have now.

How often does a driver interview contain the phrase "it was very difficult".. whinge, mope etc etc. I just want one of them to say, just once. "How do you think it was? I was driving one of the 20 best cars in the world. It was F*&^in awesome!!"

Schroeder 04-10-11 05:32 AM

Finally something that could be considered a race.:DL

STEED 04-10-11 07:06 AM

Yet another drive in the countryside.... Boring.

RACE DAMMIT RACE...I WANT ACTION!

The F1 rule book is killing this sport with over the top rules & regulations and driver's that drive like women. :damn:

Oberon 04-10-11 09:39 AM

Did Petrov used to fly planes or race rally before his F1 career? :hmmm:

Did you watch a different race than I did? Actually we had quite some wheel to wheel racing this time.

STEED 04-10-11 12:47 PM

Yep I watched it live and it was boring, few friends of mind watched the re-run and all of them were angry at another dull race. And as I type this post just got email from another saying it was so boring he turn off!

VipertheSniper 04-10-11 12:51 PM

I thought it was a good race, but maybe I'm sooooooo used to the processions that normally are called an F1 race that I would call this one exciting

papa_smurf 04-11-11 03:52 AM

Yet another snooze fest.

Indeed. I'm not getting out of my bed any more for live early races.

antikristuseke 04-11-11 09:49 AM

Didn't you say that last year? :D

flatsixes 04-11-11 01:59 PM

"Snoozefest?" What about all the very uber-exciting racing storylines?
  • Will the Pirelli tires degredate into puddles of stinky black goo before the end of the formation lap?
  • Will it rain in Sepang? When?
  • Will it rain some more in Sepang? When?
  • Will using KERS result in an increase in global warming, or just post-nucelar apocalytpic indigestion?
  • Is the little flap on the rear wing that opens and closes at the driver's command really deserving of a 25 cent name like "drag reduction system" if it's whole purpose appears to be to give the TV talkers multiple chances every lap to say "HE'S OPERATING THE DRS!!!!!" as if 17th place had suddenly produced hellfire rockets out of its radiator ducts?
  • Will Massa punch out Alonso before Nico punches out Michael, or should he wait until Hungary?
  • Does Lewis Hamilton know all of the Pussycat Dolls? Or just the one?
This is pure FIA excitement, I tell you. Plus, I hear that there's a race, too.

AngusJS 04-11-11 06:32 PM

I was entertained by this race...until lap 33, when my DVR stopped recording it. :damn:

STEED 04-17-11 07:02 AM

First two laps of the Chinese GP along with the last seven were good. On the whole a little better than the last two, just.

Webber gets my vote for going for it even after a wheel came off.

Button gets my vote for the biggest plonker in the pits, time for him to nip down to spec savers I think.

flatsixes 04-18-11 01:02 PM

I thought it was (by far) the best race of the season. Fricken' Weber has got some stones, doesn't he?

Three weeks off (until Istanbul) seems dreadfully long this early in the season, though. Gimmee some racing!

mr chris 04-18-11 02:40 PM

Got to say that was one of the best races i have seen in a very long time.
Plenty of action and plenty of stuff to chuckle at at.
Its looking like a very promising season.

STEED 05-04-11 11:30 AM

No thank you...Keep your grubby hands off F1, Murdock!
