With all due respect to the Mayans and the assorted geniuses who read the signs (crop circles/sun spots/tea leaves/whatever) and know the TRUTH, I don't think the chance of the world coming to an end is any greater now than it ever was. Although, I must admit, I like the the idea about ten women for each man. :rotfl2:

Ok but would you still admit the idea if the ten are 5 feet tall and have each a weight about 500 lbs?

$25,000.00 starting prices...prices subject to change without notice, meaning you give them 25K, then if an actual event happens price goe's up to a few million and you're SOL....:haha:

If the end comes....I just assume go in the first blast.

Maybe we should go in on a SubSim vault. Just don't put me up in the General Topics wing; I'd rather not get stabbed.

Nah. The GT wing would dissolve into sucking fits of political rhetoric so fast, you'd die of asphyxiation long before anyone got close enough with a knife.

Ok, this is just MY tinfoil hat theory on local culture here, is that there is, with some people, a belief that the world will come to and end in the next few years.

Now what exactly that world ending event is, varies, depending on who you ask.

- some foresee a total breakdown of government and of armed rebellion.
- some foresee a complete economic collapse
- some think the rapture is coming
- others believe in the Mayan calender

I'm sure there's other theories to add to that list, but that's just a few of the ideas im aware of through hearing or reading. I have to add that I have one family member who seems to be stocking up for some sort of armageddon. Stocking up on arms, ammo, and If im not mistaken on provisions as well.

The running joke in the family is we'll all go to his house during the apocolypse because he's sitting on a personal armory and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Anyway, some peoples seem to believe that sort of an "end" is coming, and other's are capitalizing on that as an opportunity. The bunkers in question here, i recall seeing some documentary or news clipping about before.

Personally, i think our "end" will come as an economic collapse. Not anytime soon, but sometime in my lifetime when the oil well's to dry up and the prices for just about everything (including food) start soaring sky high. My thought is i'll be in my 60's or maybe 70's when this happens and possibly too frail to survive.

/end tin foil hat.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Jeez, what's with all those bible quotes suddenly? Did the jehova witnesses trace you down and convert you or something?

My experience with Jehovah's witnesses they don't quote the bible they just call your gods pretend.
