There's a special place you need to click on to start I think?

Been so long since I did that I don't remember.

I have a question for you guys.. I am trying that pre determined plot course to go out of Kiel.. Its not working right.. what is the trick behind this?

THANKS

Start engines then click on Navigator icon
look for the *pre plotted coarse* option
select Keil outbound and click *follow plotted coarse* the coarse should appear to the Brunsbuttal locks
pays to check where the auto nav plot goes just to make sure the coarse is in the channel

returning to Keil
theres a dot on the map
its named keil canel in or something (jeeze looked at it a 1000 times couldnt tell ya lol)
plot coarse to that *exact* point
then same deal as above except its *plot coarse inbound* dont forget to click *follow plotted coarse*

watch out those lock gates if ya running the w-haven v6 mod

I should ask, while the canal is being talked about... Is there any way to get through there quickly? I've used the autonav route in the past, and it works, but for whatever reason (close to shore or shallows?) I can rarely engage much in the way of time compression and the trip takes 30+minutes of real time. As such, I much prefer taking the long way around, because for me it is a lesser investment of time.

Adjust time compress in SHC
Click on SHC options look for time compress you can adjust for what you want in the *when near land*

Ive set mine to 1024 but hardly go above 256

Theres a thread around for editing if you dont have SHC

I set the TC to 500 or so when close to land.. You need to do it in commander

Thanks guys. I'm in my 14th patrol with this character and still hadn't gotten around to getting Commander installed. I'm such a procrastinator. Problem solved.

:) Hi :)

What is it with SH3 ?

New games keep showing up , and we must try them out .
But after awhile , after been playing them , we begin to start thinking of SH3 , and how wonderful this game is .
SH3 is 5 years old , but so ??
There is a very special atmosphere in the game that I can't explain .

Take me f.example I ' ve been playing SH3 since 2006 , 1 year after SH3 been released .The whole life I always want to play uboat sim from ww2 . I tried out this Nintendo game for many , many years ago, I can't remember the name of it , was it SilentHunter ? He he he I loooved it
So back to precense day , I always return to SH3 , no matter what .
I can be sick of it , angry on it , crazy of it , you name it . But ,
I ALWAYS RETURN TO SH3 :damn::stare::doh::o :wah::p2::p2::p2::p2:
I think to my self when I'm tired of it :

" John , the whole game with mods and everything is messing it up , I can't get it to work , but , what's foul is it , GWX team , those who made those mods ?? , no no no . It's my own damn foult , for always go into the files , for try out things :wah:
My advice to everyone ,:

DON'T GO IN THERE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING .

For after going in there and be messsing it all up , I don't know how many times I've been Intalling it , re-installing it , installing etc etc etc :nope:
But when I do how to do it , it is the world best game ever been made :salute:

....the history. and with all this combined - playing/reading - has lead to greater immersion: DONT FORGET TO READ THE HISTORY!

This game has captured time from my life, more quickly than any other. Other games, that for years I've put large amounts of time into, have already been surpassed in time played within two months! Sinking the British has become my crack cocaine. ...and I have nothing but respect for the British! Think of what I do to the nations that I don't care for, just to get my SH3 fix!!!

Once a save editor or some other fix/workaround for the save game issues is released, it will be next to perfect.
