Agreed, I like the original, in fact I got it! The remake was a load of rubbish.

Final verdict:
We watched it today. Wasn't very scary, but thats obviously from age. Also intentionally humorous at times, but she loved it, so by default so did I. And its all worth the 3 hours of making out afterwards.
