I looked in the internet and found many user with the same ISP as mine experiencing degraded performance after the ISP announced their migration to now Mega speed network just about a month ago from what usually hundreds of kbps. The biggest hit is from the international connections.
Ah well at least now I know now it's most likely the ISP. Bad ISP bad ISP . . . it feels more like a downgrade than an upgrade well at least it's Mega speed between 4.30 to a little more than 10 AM everyday which means my internet is now CRAP 80 percent of the time. Come to think of it Mega speed could mean both side of extremes, mega fast between 4.30-10Am and mega slow anytime else after all they didn't quite call it Mega Fast :nope:. |
Oh well I'll wait for couple weeks more before terminating my cable internet. The Customer service told me they are upgrading the network so there are maintenance going on but somehow I got the feeling being lied to.
The thing is when I complained getting very poor speedtest fom international servers which I often use London and New York or Washington as references) then my speed test from those location would suddenly be good(over 1Mbps) but speed testing from other places such as the nearby Sydney would still give me 200kbps or even lower. And today after complaining again the Customer service officer asked where I did my testing and I told her Sydney and voila now I have terrific speed testing from Sydney( about 1Mbps from then 200kbps but guess what still 200kbps or lower from Melbourne and Seoul :damn:. It's like every path is now tabbed and I'm being toyed with. I don't like this game I may pull the plug soon and if I found out this has to do with my activism I would escalate into RL Singapore activist in Jakarta even protesting alone and distributing leaflets. Jail here I come considering Singapore influence on my poor and corrupt country :hmmm: |
