Call it lack of imagination, but I dont have one - im just me when i play :D
I guess subconsiously I like to keep the whole 'working for virtual Hitler' aspect at arms lenght where possible.

Karl Raeder:DL

Sammi79 05-04-10 05:38 PM

My own full name, always. Doesn't feel right otherwise, even though I'm definitely not German. Samuel is ok though I can't find a translation/alternate German version of my last name which is Irish in origin.

Radulf Hrodwulf.

Meaning: Wise wolf, famous wolf.

I wanted a wolf name to coincide with the idea of the "Grey Wolves of the Atlantic"

Glad to have you aboard, JohnWoo. :salute:

I let SH3Commander generate the names for me these days.

TarJak 05-05-10 06:35 AM

I've almost always used the randomised names from SH3Cmdr. I have toyed with using Zähler von Nieten recently though. :D

downunder 05-05-10 06:51 AM

FC Klaus Petersen 3 Unterseebootsflottille Steel Sharks

Zedwardson 05-05-10 11:45 AM

For each Game I give a new name and play till retirement or death.

Sailor Steve 05-05-10 09:21 PM

I used to make up names to use in alphabetical order. My first were Bruno Asche and Joseph Abernathy. That dates all the way back to my AOD and SH1 days.

These days it's randomized, but I still run through names until I get one that starts with 'A' or whatever letter I'm on at the moment. I run several careers concurrently, so that helps me know who's who.

robbo180265 05-05-10 11:02 PM

I used to add a "von" to my own name , but having recently rediscovered SH3, I just let SH3 commander pick one now.

schlechter pfennig 05-05-10 11:41 PM

I just let Commander give me choices, and I select ones that appeal to me. In a sense I suppose I roleplay as well as subsim, so it doesn't matter to me all that much about their names (just as long as it isn't Bernard, that is!)
