New Campaign is not necessary. For Haramirs Mod you can start right up from your last save Game. I've tested this serveral times. Should be similiar with BARF.

Is this mod working with 1.2 patch?

Skwash speech recognition broken with 3.0.0.4

No problem with earlier releases of your mod.
