Yeah, I know. For these it is quite suitable but the default loadout type for merchants is ammunition and in this way the firework explosions would be for almost every ship.

Ah, OK :up:

Paco 03-16-10 04:37 AM

yeah :yeah:

My good sir, which file affects the violet lens flares? One of the "volume" files?

But you know that the "firework type" explosion is only for ammunition freighters?
IMHO it's quite suitable.

Thank you for your work on this.

Are you gonna add the flying crewmen to your Mod? Someone even had bodies floating in the water around a sunken vessel. It'd be nice to have this back in SH5 too.

edit: Racerboy's already on it.

Shigawire 03-16-10 12:07 PM

I installed this, but I still get the violet lensflares :(

Maybe I did something wrong?

HanSolo78 03-16-10 04:22 PM

Hi guys!

I realized that the first version still had the violette lensflare.
Unfotunately I thought it would be that easy to remove... but nevertheless... I managed to remove it.

Version 1.1 is now available at the first thread!

@the general

Maybe I will do rework some parts of explosions.. weŽll see.

Fantastic.:up:

Just one remark, a little remark :).

I think that the sprays of water are not visible enough, when the torpedoes explode. Maybe not white enough or big enough, I don't know really, but something is missing :)

Yea, from what i've seen in pictures usually there is more water spray and black smoke than big orange flames. I know the pictures are in black and white but you know what i mean. Could you make a side-mod that makes torpedo impacts look more like real life hits? Maybe just paint some of the explosion effects black and white :)

HanSolo78 03-19-10 02:19 PM

Hi!

@Maddy

No problem, feel free to include it with credits!

@others

To water sprays I do not make changes.. this would only be moddable with a new version of goblin or hex editing.

MattDizzle 03-19-10 02:22 PM

Still an amazing mod, thank you!

Unless you're completely averse to this idea, would you be able to tone down the flames as well? It seems like each ships shoots 30 foot flames from bow to stern, im sure this would have happened in real life too, but for each and every ship to be completely on fire still looks a bit "Hollywood" to me, could that be changed?

Maybe not remove the fires, but make them smaller and more spread out on the deck (the points they come from wouldnt need to move, shrinking them would spread them out just fine), instead of a giant row of burning death.

Galanti 03-19-10 02:29 PM

Another thing to improve on would be the speed and fury of these explosions. They always looks a little slow (from SH3 to now), when as we all see from footage of high explosive detonations, they happen extremely fast.

Nice but not for Single Core
