I'd love this really. Especially if you could make it a toggle somehow. The VIIC dual wintergarden conning tower appears to have a flagpole already too.

You have a point there Luke, but it would be great if this mod could work like the Antvart's (I think) flag mod for SHIII. You could use Shift+F to hoist the flag and Ctrl+F to pull it down...
Is that doable in SH5?

With scripting I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible to both be able to toggle it AND have it automatically raise when you're within X range of your home port. :DL

Love that idea. It would make great sence to have it toggleable under your own control. :D

WTF?! There were dynamic shadows in SH3?! Since when?! :o I played GWX like everybody else and I didn't see no shadows!

I had limited success with it. Due to too many problems with it the project was put on indefinite hold. But the ships had really good dynamic shadows when it was enabled :DL

VIIA almost complete. Have to use a different material for the flagstaff as the color is wrong. I'll have to extract the textures from the conning tower and use one of them so the color is correct. The flag is customizable (as I love options) so the end user can use whatever they want for a flag. Next up will be trying to get it to reflect and adding shadows to it....

Not sure. I haven't even tried to script anything to do with the ships or subs. I know I can script UI :D Right now I'm just concentrating on getting these setup and working in game. Maybe someone who knows more than I or who has already figured out how to do what you're asking can enlighten me before I figure it out on my own (if it's even possible). The flags are functional to say it best - they need a light map added to them (both the flag and flagstaff) and some other fine tuning and tweaking.

The External Dynamic Shadows of Silent Hunter 5 need some tweaks because are not yet perfect
