"Hey, are you looking for an even easier way to lie to and cheat on your partner and possibly expose them to a variety of life-altering and potentially fatal diseases? Well, we're here to help!"

I know people have been cheating on each other since the dawn of time, but someone trying to cash in on helping them do it - ugh.

Exactly my concern. :yep:

I mean, of course we have this "dating" advertising everywhere as well; after midnight, almost every single TV-channel stops their regular broadcast and switches to these "dating-shows" with barely clad women, interlaced with similar commercials for all kinds of mobile-phone services. Over the past years it's even become common to see naked breasts, and lately even the more "intimate" parts (it's Holland, after all ). I can tell you that if I ever have children, they won't have TV in their room till their 16-17 (that's the plan, though I doubt I'll hold out that long ). Even the channels that continue their normal broadcast around the clock start airing commercials for phone-apps that are questionable at best (penis-meter, anyone?).

I was very appreciative of these things when I was a teenager though. :hmmm: :rotfl2:

*cough*

My point is: this is the first time I've been confronted by spam/advertising that encourages people to betray their partner, and I found it a little disturbing. The line may be thin, but this is clearly crossing it as far as I'm concerned. :nope:

I'll be Martin, then.
Okay, but I'm not being Roz.

:hmmm:

Well, maybe a little bit. :O:

I really don't care what consenting adults get up to, as long as nobody else is being lied to or betrayed in the process. There are such things as "open marriages" and as long as all parties know what's going on and freely agree to it, it's nobody else's business... but most of the time it's just a matter of one person wanting the benefits of having another person fully committed to *them* without the responsibility of being fully committed to anyone or anything themselves.

Yeah, like was said above - this is one of those things in life where a lot of people want to have their cake and eat it too, and those people can bite me. :O:

Don't like cheaters. They commit the most devestating offense that can be perpetrated on ANY animal (people don't have an exclusive on this one). It's what I call:

A betrayal of trust.

Steve is right, these things happen. But I take personal offense a bit from being confronted with it in such a public way (adverts, not Steve :) ). I do not wish to be confronted with such stuff in public life or public media. If couples cheat, it is their and not my business, but i do not want to be approached over it.

What if a couple wanted you to take part in a ménage à trois? :hmmm:

Bill and Hillary Clinton were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They both agreed to tell each other any secrets they had been hiding on this day. Hillary asked the first question. "Bill, I want to know if you have ever cheated on me."

Bill reluctantly replies, "Yes, I have, and it wasn't just the once."

Hillary was very shocked and said, "When was all this?"

Bill says, "Well, as you will no doubt remember, there was Monica Lewinsky in '98"

Hillary replies, "That's not a big surprise, though, but when else did you cheat on me then?"

Bill replies, "Well, do you remember in '08 when you won the Democratic presidential campaign, despite being 200 votes down....?"

I am deeply offended at this type of humour. That is a good looking dog and I would never degrade a dog like that by calling her Monica.

:D
