GO or NO go ?

I did not see my card listed below. It is a Nvidia 9800GTX+. Does anyone know if it is a go or not? I bought it exactly a year ago for 235.00 at Best Buy. I am feeling I may have been ripped off.

capthelm 01-26-10 12:16 AM

650 watt suppy here my box. does the job for a single run video card system.

Thanks Capthelm. I'm curious why you got rid of it. I am ignorant on this subject and rely on the information coming in here. I've tried reading specs but get lost in all the details. What card sir did you decide to go with. Did you mean my card is ok for the game or marginal.........I'm anxiously waiting as you had experience with the same card....

card should run the sim ok yea.

i upgraded my card to a more powerful gtx260OC

if you can run sh4 ok then youll be fine for sh5. maybe a few graphic options disabled.

for gaming i always go for slick frame rates.

what your cpu spec?

they are saying a dual core 3.0 is the way to go for running the sim.

Thank You captain. Congrats on the 260. I am breathing easier after your reply. My computer is a HP a747c, 2005 model. It is Pentium 4 at 2.85ghz with 3GB ram. That is 2-1GB sticks and 2-500mb sticks, and the card is pci express obviously. My game is on a second hard drive and is the only thing on that drive. Thanks again for the help. I never tried the enhancer program and just used the settings from the Nvidia Control panel.

Just a little precision...

This is what I found... in http://game-debate.com/news/?news=25...er%205%20Specs

This is what one of the devs said recently
"My projected configuration to run the game very well (with all graphic options enabled, in 1280*1024) is:
dual core at 3 GHz (quad core is appreciated but not mandatory)
2 gb of ram
nVidia 8800 GT 512mb (ATi 4850 512mb)

512mb on the video card is a minimum to play the game with every option checked. We're trying to make the game to fit into 256 mb of video memory (with the lowest settings).
The game will run on Windows 7, even the 64bit edition."

Take care
Lopo

How weird - I already have all that, except for the graphics card. The problem there is that my system is old AGP, and those cards can be had, but not cheaply.

Webster said you are SOL on with the 9800. I do not believe so. I have a 9800 and I'm not worried at all. Specifically because I play other very graphic intense games without issue.

bigboywooly 01-26-10 09:44 AM

Not sure my Q8200 will manage it
Think the 9600GT 512 and 4gb ram will do though
Hmmmm

danurve 01-26-10 11:15 AM

1000w PSU? Did you get a rebate from the power company? :ping:

Well I can run GRAW2 maxed out on my meger ati3650 512 ddr3 on a 2.8 dual core, 7 x64 & 4 gigs ram. I'm fairly sure it can handle SH5.

94cruiser 01-26-10 09:35 PM

I just built a new PC just for this thing and am affraid my video card is not up to par.

I got i7 860, 4GB ram, win7 64bit, but my video card is nVidia 260 GTS
Is this not enought?
I really want the game but I can't fork out $230 more.
