Not sure I'd buy at all

I have installed steam in feb 09 for Dawn of War II.
This game is like the Age of Empire series "unplayable" in offline single mode because of crappy AI. Here is Steam for me welcome. It keeps the game automatic update and you have everytime contact to online gamers.

The shock came with Empire Total Wars, which is like Silent Hunter 4 a classic SINGLE GAMER game. In both games, SH4 and ETW, modding is the absolute necessary SPICE of the game.

I just want to to approve to all you dedicated modders, who i due so much fun, this threat from Empire Total War Community.

If you have the time read all posts very careful. I wont buy this game until i am really sure that it won't go this evil way.

I know, I should advertise more :)

But I don't understand, you say Amazon does not deliver to Australia, but you order $100 each month from Amazon??

JScones 01-22-10 08:16 AM

They don't deliver software. Unfortunately (for me) they do deliver CDs and DVDs. Man I have a lot! Most are still sealed, never to be listened to or watched in my lifetime.

Music is my real passion.:yeah:

Ah ha, I see. Thanks :)

***Remember, order through Subsim, for Amazon, order through Subsim. It costs you nothing extra.......order through Subsim

Thanks mookie! SHIV is one gaming purchase I will be making ahead of time... and supporting SUBSIM as a side benefit is my pleasure.

I was thinking the same thing, but when I click on the SHIV it takes me to Direct2Drive. I've never purchased from Direct2Drive so I have a couple of questions.

- Do I get a copy on DVD as well? I couldn't find this in the description but I assume no.

- Can all of the mods be applied to the Direct2Drive version?

- Is there a patch to remove the SecuROM copy protection?

Thanks in advance for any assistance in answering these questions.

i wouldnt recommend you buy anything but the gold version of sh4 with the game AND ubmv1.5 both on hard disks for you so you have no limitations or issues with downloads.

you can find sh4 gold for under $10 too

Thanks for the advice. I'll start looking for the gold version of SH4.

Anyone considering purchasing any of the SH titles should give serious thought to doing so via the SS link.

There is no additional cost incurred and it is the ideal opportunity/way to suport the SS community. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

Can the game be shipped at Europe via amazon? I once tried to order SH3. I wanted it to be delivered to France but amazon didn't let me so i finally ordered it via amazon.fr.:hmmm:

RSColonel_131st 02-09-10 07:05 AM

Yep, the SHIV Gold pack is perfect. You just install SHIV first, then the addon, you end up with a fully patched 1.5 version with the disk check already removed. If you don't misplace the DVD case, you can run this game for years on as many different systems as you own.

You can buy lots of stuff, not only games, through the Subsim Store link.

i was just comparing the SH3 standard issue and SH5 CE issue maps, the only difference i can see is the color of the lines and that the SH3 map has the patrolzones near enemy ports.
so,when you still have that old map you're halfway the CE version!:yeah:
