Yea... shes not doing anything rong... like mookie said, its a peace sign, not something supporting violence.

Testy testy! Sometimes wearing typical American cloths abroad with signs melted into the fabric is not always the best idea. No matter what the sign is. Again, whether they like it or not, the entire family are embassadors of the US. BTW, your swastika reference is just silly.

Before anyone goes down the insane left wing mental gymnast route perhaps just seeing everything as OK is not the best view to take abroad. BTW, the peace sign is a political message. Ever see protesters here in the states during he 60's and 70's? You know, free love and drugs.

After reading this important news, I was so shocked that I ran into the kitchen again and brewed my third coffee of this day, can you believe it. I took the sweeter in the left hand and the coffee in the right, and then spend two pills into the cup. I think usually the pills dissolves faster than today, but maybe that is just me.

What is your experience with sweeter pills dissolving in hot coffee? I personally prefer them to dissolve fast. But not too fast. It depends, you know.

Take it to twitter :har:

And you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who disagreed with that message. It's even a stated goal of the UN. Count how many times the word "peace" is mentioned in Article 1 of the UN Charter:

Quote:

CHAPTER I: PURPOSES AND PRINCIPLES

Article 1

The Purposes of the United Nations are:

  1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;

So it's not a very controversial message. I think the OP is making a mountain out of a molehill. Or a grain of sand in a molehill.

I agree.

Or, just don't make your children part of your political brand. Both could learn from this.

That's been my point from the beginning.

Btw, I use German sweeteners for my coffee. I got them from Lidl.

Personally, I'm in the camp that the kid just thought the shirt was cool.

However, the Obama's handlers should take care to assure that the First Familiy doesn't "hippy-fy" the office.

Is there a problem with that?

Wait, what would happen if she wore a Che Guevara shirt? Geez, lighten up.

AVGWarhawk 07-09-09 02:21 PM

Like one of Obama's Campaign offices:

The political class doesn't camp. They make the rest of us camp. I know where they are meeting was devastated by eath quakes recently, but they aren't staying there. It is a useful place to discourage protests. Certainly you remember how it was in Germany a couple/few years back when all the infrastructure was in place.

I'm sure getting a Waste-gate vibe from some people here...:hmmm:

Wow, the exact same thing happened to me. I wonder if it's related, or if it was caused by an eleven year olds' tee shirt in Rome. Strange happenings lately.
