Task Force 05-08-09 06:23 PM

Im in!!! Cant wait.:D These games always are fun.:yep:

How about....

We are all on a brand new, experimental Nuclear Sub that has had a
malfunction and is now sitting on the bottom of the Atlantic with no
propulsion and all the lower decks flooded with the bodies of those
caught in the accident still floating about.

In the upper deck of the sub are the following groups:
1) Navy Personnel
2) Civilian Scientists who are there to test the new reactor
3) The first rescue team, who got inside, but can not now leave the sub as
their rescue sub has become jammed in the only escape hatch.

Strange noises are heard in the deep waters about the sub. No one
dare venture into the flooded decks.
To save battery power all lights are turned off for a 12 hour period each
day. It is a choice between light or O2.

Then the body of one of the surviving (until now) crew members is found
after the lights are turned on for the next 12 hours. He has horrific and
strange wounds to his body. Some of the marks almost look like...
...suction marks....

Everyone is under suspicion!
Someone or something is killing people, but who!

Are you volunteering?

A Very Super Market 05-09-09 12:13 AM

Neal, who is on the volunteer list anyways? Can you put me on it?

To be the gamemaster? No, sorry. At least, not with out a couple of chaps to
help. My time and energy is not reliable enough to take it on solo as you so
diligently did.

Jimbuna 05-09-09 06:56 AM

Lets go for what we discussed the other week Neal.

Sure, but just to be clear, I am taking applications for someone who wants to run the show. Not sure how I would use assistants. If you want to set up the game, define the rules, answer the 4000 questions about the rules, monitor the game thread, tally and record all the votes, and generate the game results and story, PM me with your premise. I would be glad to help you.

Yeah :yeah:

Raptor1 05-09-09 12:29 PM

I could help with the story, if you need any

If I knew what game you were planning, that is

mookiemookie 05-09-09 03:21 PM

As we discussed during the last game, I'll help run it. Not sure if I have the reliable schedule enough to be the head guy on this, but I can certainly help out.

NealT 05-10-09 08:52 AM

Unfortunately I am going to have to sit this one out. I just learned I may be traveling for the next 3-6 weeks trying to fix some things that will take up all of my non-sleeping time (and maybe even some of the sleeping time as well).

Tarrasque 05-10-09 03:29 PM

I'll give it a go.

(As long as I don't get slaughtered too violently of course!)

It's 1942. Romania has joined the Axis powers. Nazi Germany sends an attachment of SS soldiers to an ancient castle overlooking a strategic pass in the Carpathian mountains. When soldiers begin turning up dead, their bodies drained of blood, the remaining troops begin wondering if the Allied powers are the only thing they need to worry about...
Now THAT'S a setting.

Raptor1 05-11-09 12:36 AM

Was thinking about a similar setup for vampires earlier, with a group of Austro-Hungarian and German soldiers garrisoning a remote town in Austrian-held Transylvania in 1917

Oberon 05-11-09 07:46 AM

Who is going to play the local Thule Society representative then? :D

I liked that plot. Cthulhu meets the atomic age... Reminds me of the nice little adventure "Grace under pressure" a title which would be fitting for this one as well. :yep:

cheers porphy

Onkel Neal 05-13-09 09:55 AM

Well, I would say we have enough interest. If you are wanting to manage the game, PM me with your ideas and a declaration of intent.

If you want to help, PM me with what your help would entail. If no one wants to manage the game, I may manage the vote counts and let someone else pen the story posts (if they are reliable and will post as scheduled ;) ).

cheers
Neal

I would have liked to run it, but unfortunately that would mean I can't play, so no thanks

Letum 05-13-09 10:51 AM

If no one else has volunteered by Saturday then I'll make some time and
set up the game.

has anyone else volunteered?

Onkel Neal 05-13-09 01:48 PM
