Thanks for the heads up on that time change, Kpt. Lehman. You're a good man!

Since owner lives in Ireland, I rely on him for that information in regards to local times. Ben Franklin should have lost points with St. Peter when he came up with the hare-brained idea of Daylight Savings Time! :stare:

SOOoooo.....

Will this mean the times are all bumped ahead or back one hour? :06:

Yep, 02.00 hours will be 03.00 so one hour less to sleep.

Greetz, Dutchie-one :damn: :damn:

Well i would absolutely love to do this, but i don't own a micrphone.:damn:

i might have to sneak out and buy one before Sunday.

IMHO I suggest you get a headset with a boom mic. Very inexpensive these days; I use a Labtec LVA 8550. Flying, we found a boom mic produces clear speech. When using a regular microphone background noise however small, can cause issues.

Playing a sim with headset produces IMHO an incredible experience with surround sound more immersive. I have the Logitech 5 speakers and the rumble box on the floor but prefer my SONY headset.

(I wonder if anyone uses Skype? I have that and use it for international conversation and it works well and is free.)

Sounds like a good piece of equipment. How much are we talking about in US dollars?

PappyCain 03-28-09 04:19 PM

My set has to be 10 years old now.

I see plenty of similar models priced under 20.00 USD. Mine is stereo and has a volume control on the cord with mic on/off switch which can be valuable when in air combat pulling hard manuevers - I tend to grunt a lot (LOL).

I suggest getting a stereo model from whomever. You will want both ears grabbing the stereo. It is a head trip.

Could you make it a Saturday night EU/US time so that people on this side of the world can make it. Sunday night there is Monday morning here so makes it hard for us to get out of going to work.:DL

I thought you lot were always looking for excuses to wag a day off :DL

TarJak 03-31-09 03:11 PM

Oh we are. Just my boss wouldn't accept this as an excuse yesterday when I rang him to tell him I wouldn't be in.:DL

Jimbuna 03-31-09 03:35 PM

That's because I rang and warned him :har:
