Alien.

I was 15 when it came out, my uncle took me to the movies to see it. I didn't sleep a wink that night besides i was staying at my uncles and my bedroom was in a sleep out about 50yrds away from the house to make it worse it was a stormy night my hearing senses was on red alert I was freaking out! :har:

''Dark waters'' Japanese version kinda found that scary in fact i reckon the Japanese make the best horror flicks. I've seen quite a few asian horror flicks over the years and each one has played with my head!

The Exorcist - another movie my uncle took me to see (man i hate my uncle :har: )

How about that Steve, it sure is dead on! Funny how stories grow and are reincarnated over and over. I guess Hollywood can use their improved movie magic. However, the real movie magic is in ones imagination! I often find the books more engrossing than anything a director can cut.

Alien is a legend, and all the parts were worth watching.

Japaneese horror movies got stuck with all that black hair thing of that too white dead girl, which I'm finding boring already.
The ring, the black water, it's all the same actually :)

Any horror movies list is incomplete without Leprechaun 4: In space:88)

Just finished reading it... Took a while to wrap my mind around the writing style, but crikey! Creepier than the movie [1982 remake]. :o

We could honestly make a movie out of the werewolf hunt thread. We is getting into chararctor alreadies!

And I think The Thing was a very good movie, though the special effects were lacking somewhat. Is it a coincidink that there were Norwegians in the movie as well as the werewolf thread? Am I shamelessly promoting the thread as well? Too many questions folks!

Yes The Thing Is a veary good movie.

The werewolf thread is getting good.

Cripes man, I was eating eggs sunny-side up when Herring brought that up... Gawd! I will never be able to enjoy my eggs runny ever again. :o

On that note, we were watching The Thing on the Sci-Fi channel several weeks ago, and we had to call it a night RIGHT AFTER that scene. I was more than a little jumpy going to bed.

Great... Now whatever appetite for the eggs I am eating right this moment is gone again.

I've seen plenty of good horror movies, but the only one that ever really creeped me out was "The Sixth Sense". The unfortunate part about it is that you can only watch it once. After that, you know the twist, you're never going to be able to forget it, and it's just a fun movie to watch after that point.

This is a stupid movie by all means, but still one i like "NIGHT OF THE LIVEING DEAD" Tehehe Still one of my # 1s :O:

Sometimes I used to like roleplaying that scene in bed "I see dead people" :haha:

Yes, that's the one. I wonder if people who have to use defibrillators have that scene at the backs of their heads. "I better watch out or it might bite off my hands".

Some movies have that power, they make a lot of people scared. Maybe Jaws was like that, people were afraid to swim in the ocean after seeing it, even up north where there are no sharks. :DL

I humbly submit Event Horizon and The Bunker.

Both deal with a horror that exsists only in the eye of the beholder, a fear you cannot escape from or defeat because it is in your own mind.

I watched Event Horizon a few weeks ago. My wife was wondering what the heck I was watching. It is a good movie and does play on the fears in one's own mind. Lots of gore in this movie. Guys ripping their eyes out :o etc. They did not leave much to the imagination on the gore. I was laid out there for all to see.

Maybe one of you can help me out here. A few years back I saw a flick that was about a WW2 submarine that had ghosts on board. Was an OK movie as i recall, but i cannot remember the title of it???:hmmm:

Weiss Pinguin 02-10-09 01:13 PM

Below? 2002 I think, saw it on AMC a while back. Some parts were fairly spooky, rest was meh.

Edit: Here be it.

mapuc 02-10-09 06:15 PM

An another movie I saw a couples of weeks ago, who was a kind of scary was the Happening.

Not some alien from outerspace or a precident who got his mind on blowing us all to kongdom come

But the nature around us,who had decided to erase us from the soil.

That was a kind of scary
