Looking at the track, I had some lucky charms hidden somewhere in the plane. Especially the last S-curve was more luck than skill. :p

Ow, nice to see you taking part to our thingies, Val.

XabbaRus 01-16-09 08:31 AM

OK I'll fly tonight on that course.

What about the I-16 cup courses?

Valantine 01-16-09 08:32 AM

Well I can't resist such a silly task!

I gave the B17 a fair few runs around but never made it through - S-curve drilled me into the walls every time, well except one where I thought I almost had it but actually was skidding along the floor before BOOM!

262 was the same story, BUT the Yak-15 on extremely low power through the curve got through in 50 seconds! (after many tries stalling as I exited onto the final stretch!)

If I understand right ,your useing IL2.

If so can I use IL2 1946

The reason I ask is I gave away all my IL2 collection as I thought IL2 1946 was all that and more.

Valantine 01-16-09 12:48 PM

It is indeed IL2 1946, most people here use some form of mod pack ontop of that but il le tone of the regulars fill you in

Thx Valantine.

Oberon 01-16-09 01:11 PM

Grab the unified installer from all aircraft arcade to get a good collection of mods. It's about 1 gig though, so get yourself a cup of tea first.

Task Force 01-16-09 02:16 PM

Thought we wernt allowed to use the *mod* places full name here. (or was it links to the mod place.:hmm:)

Oberon 01-16-09 03:24 PM

I think it was the links, but if it's the names then feel free to delete or edit that post.

Task Force 01-16-09 03:28 PM

Now that I think about it, Im pretty sure it was links.

When I first went through I thought I was supposed to loop round and go back the other way.

I used the J-8a as it can go really slow in turns. Also I have linked my mouse wheel to the flasps so I have more control over them.

Dowly 01-18-09 12:40 PM

Le time is up for the "tuberun".

New course will be available tomorrow.

Also, somekind of nifty badges/awards will be made available to those who made it to the top three of the 'tuberun'.

More later or tomorrow.

XabbaRus 01-18-09 12:46 PM

Can't wait. Pity there is no timer in IL-2...we should have an air race someday.

Task Force 01-18-09 02:11 PM

I did it in 48 seconds. (I know, im alittle late to enter.) (gunning it all the way.):p
