United States aren't flawless, but I will not stand behind Dowly on this one. 9/11 was a tragedy, it really was. So is Afghanistan. So was the civil war in Congo (ever heard of that one!?) So was the Finnish Civil War...

Point is, any bloodshed is terrible, no matter the nation that's involved. I for one think it's tragic that some places get's all the attention and aid (like Gaza,Afghanistan) while others (Like Democratic Republic of Congo) are almost ignored...

As for the US not surviving, probably. But maybe in a few milleniums (Can't spell that :P) Lots of nations that were thought to be obsolete *Cough cough Britain" have made it. As far as stability goes, neither the right or the left want to tear the US apart. Won't happen man.

Freedom is not unique to the US, so please don't try and make it seem like everyone else is enslaved.

Also, while casualties in war are sad affairs, its absurd to think that they are avoidable. Us Canadians have lost 107 men in Afghanistan, and there are huge arguments over pulling out. WTF MAN. Afghanistan, actually confirmed to be a base for bin Laden and whatnot, where we have taken 0.001% casualties or something, is being made to look like a deathtrap. Why don't we ban cars for the number of people they kill? Why not cut down all trees because they can fall and hurt someone?

Dowly, your posts are perfectly comprehendable in English, so I don't see what the big deal over posting in Finnish is. That being said, I wouldn't oppose your international forum thing, although I do think you're the only Finn here.
