You didn't have to as your whole response presumed the thing was a setup.

You even said you didn't need to read the article, therefore you are assuming that the conviction was unsound as it was the FBI who busted a bunch of islamic guys who were reported to be acting suspiciously. Also I'd hardly call the 5 a bunch of Yahoos.

Also the exercise being run on 7/7 in the UK wasn't a government/military exercise it was a private security consultancy.

Now sure in the past there have been miscarriages of justice with the feds screwing up but that doesn't mean everytime it is without merit that they arrest someone.

I also don't think you can hold Waco up there. The situation was badly handled yes, but they weren't without good cause for going in. They just underestimated the nutcases.

As for Ruby Ridge, I'll give you that one.

7-7, yeah yeah, just a security exercise, nothing to see here citizen, move along now. I know when I am dead and burried they will write the history books and the government official story will live on. That doesn't mean I can't call foul while I'm here. Not that it will do any good, but at least I can be honest with myself. I'm sure there were "conspiracy theorists" that thought the Reichstag was burned down by the Nazi's and blamed on the communists at the time. It is called a conspiracy "theory", we don't know, all we do know is the government lies about anything and everything, so why should we believe the word of a known liar? The thing with Waco was that it just shows how the feds like to go all out for that career promoting photo op high profile stuff. They could of just arrested David Koresh when he went for a jog. Oh no, they wanted to put on the k-pot, body armor whip out the MP5s that haven't been fired off the range and cowboy it up. That looks at lot sexier for the papers doesn't it. Until you get your ass kicked, which they did. I guess the saying "to the man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail" applies to the federal agent method of problem solving.

subchaser12 12-23-08 01:38 PM

Why do you call the Waco people nutcases? David Koresh told them the government was going to come kill them and their children. The government came and did just that proving David Koresh right. That doesn't sound so nutty does it?Seventy-six people died in the fire, including 21 children and two pregnant women.

I hate to spoil the party, but that's actully not very informative.

Turns out that the exercise running that morning was, as XabbaRus said, a private security company.

Oh, and vehement disagreement continues as to the cause of the Reichstag fire.

Never the less they were arrested, tried by a JURY, and convicted.

Now they await sentencing.

XabbaRus 12-23-08 04:14 PM

That doesn't matter as the jury was probably pre selected to convict and biased.

Whatever we write is going to be disagreed with.

I suppose you'll tell us next the 7/7 CCTV footage of teh bombers entering Luton station was faked aswell....

You can cry foul, when there is good cause. You seem to cry foul at anything that has the govt. invloved or an agency of.

Regardless of your assumption the defense was present during jury selection and was active in helping pick the jury.

I was being sarcastic...pre-empting what subchaser might have said.

Well of course I do. Let's look at the death and destruction wreaked on the masses by governments throughout the ages. Who do you think killed everyone from Jesus to the Iraqis and everything else before and after. Governments. Sure, "terrorists" have killed people, there is no denying it, but until terrorists starte raking up the body count as high as governments I am not going to see them as the biggest danger. How many millions upon millions died in World War 1 and 2? Now have many millions have died at the hands of terrorists? Hundreds? The biggest, best and most well respected countries at this writing have killed more people than the terrorists. Look at 9-11 and 7-7. Ok, let's say the terrorists did it. Now look at all the people who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yeah those 3,000 dead really justify at least twice that as many dead and ten times that in injuries, and that is just on the American side. Of course everyone will say it's for a "good cause", and we have no choice, but I see it as government killing people as usual. They always say the bodies piled high is for a "good cause". The terrorists use the same rhetoric, but someone it's different when my country does it? Evil is evil. Dead is dead. The only difference between me and you guys is this. You all think that if push comes to shove the big nice government will be nice to you because you have been good little nationalists and always did what you were told. If you look at history you would see the "just do what they say honey" crowd are the first ones put on the trains. The rebels are too much hassle....

Aramike 12-23-08 08:52 PM

That's a silly generalization. I guess people are all bad because all crimes have been committed by people. Or, all ships will sink because all sunken ships are, well, ships.

You look at the world through a very simple lens. Problem is that things are far more complicated.

Oh here comes the big brother apologist. 19 years? You probably got the boot since you could have retired at 20 or in a few more years, yet you still shine their shoes after they finishing making you there biitch for almost 2 decades. Wake up man, I did. You prove my point, you were in military intelligence for almost 2 decades and you are about as clueless as they come. You are nothing but a right wing cheerleader. Tell me this, have you ever had on original thought in your head? 19 years in eh? Tell me, where would you have ended up if you didn't have the government telling you what to do, what to wear, what to say, when to wake up, what kind of haircut to get. I see why people like you love the military so much, without big uncle sam holding you hand and telling you what to do you would be working at McDonalds.

That still makes my day knowing you of all people were in intel. How perfect is that. hahaha

I might afterall have to recant my opinon that Bush lied, I have been out of the military for well over a decade and I just forgot how stupid you all are. Now that the idiocy that is the military is all comming back to me (I tried to forget) I now see that Bush probably didn't have to look too hard over at the pentagon to some some pasty kids who would say "yes sir Mr. President sir, them Ragheads are makin nukes, it's an honor sir!, this is the best day of my life sir!" You geeks. Thanks for reminding me.

@Aramike It does no good to argue logically with the agitator formerly known as Flamingboat. The best thing we can do is ignore his attention seeking socially demented ravings and keep our blood pressure 10 or 20 points lower. Eventually, he will self destruct if no one pays him any attention.

subchaser12 12-23-08 09:38 PM

Oh Aramike defender of all my freedoms tell me this. Why would you only do 19 years? At 20 you can retire at 50% pay if memory serves me correct. So what happened? Am I not the only one who doesn't exactly see eye to eye with the things you spout? Hmmm.... Inquiring minds want to know.

It's been said before, just because I am not a raving right wing nationalist doesn't mean I'm an agitator. This isn't even my thread.

Yeah. I figure he's compensating for something... Staring in the face of his own ignorance, he compounds it by trying to say that the rest of us are the dumb ones.

Clearly everyone here knows how this guy is. The Dunce Cap fits. The way I see it, when a person's IQ equals the slices on a medium pizza from Dominos, he's not worth getting worked up over.

Frankly, I'm betting the guy's probably just a highschool student out for attention. He probably thinks that, by being obnoxious, everyone will overlook his stupidity and allow him to be an online "bully", probably as compensation for the bullying he recieves in his daily life.

Heh, personally I'd think it'd be funny if everyone just put him on their ignore lists and let him spew his garbage to himself. :D

Oh look, another avalanche of petty insults from Aramike. By all means please lead by example and put me on your ignore list. I'm calling your bluff, put your money where your mouth is. You threatened to take your ball and go home in the shoe throwing thread but you didn't, now you are threatening to put me on your ignore list with a "yeah boys!?" looking over your shoulder. Take a look at this and the other post. You are the one hurling insult after insult at me. I've been having a normal conversation with people who don't agree with some of my points.

Anyone can plainly see you are the one causing problems with me, not the other way around. So stop TALKING about ignoring me, stop THREATENING to put me on your ignore list.

DO IT ALREADY.

P.S. If you don't man up and back up what you say with actions and you don't ignore me, how about a comment on the 19 year military career? I still want to know why someone stops a year or less from retirement. No one does that voluntarily.
