Yep. Especially since the accusation used to be "If you have one drop of black blood in you, then..."

I always thought that being a "mongrel race" was one of our greatest national strengths...

Smartest and longest-lived, too.

Oh, I agree. I just thought it was funny that when I was a boy someone couldn't go certain places if he wasn't 'pure white', and now people are trying to dismiss Obama as the first black president by saying "well, he's not all black, you know..."

Yeah I figured that. We have come a long way haven't we?

I just hope that we can begin to put all this racial tension behind us now and stop being "white-Americans" or "black-Americans" or (insert race or foreign nationality of choice)-Americans, and just be "Americans".

As Teddy Roosevelt said: "There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else." and Woodrow Wilson agreed saying: "Any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready".

Those are some good quotes. I had never heard the Wilson one before.

Yeah we've had some pretty exceptional men as Presidents and although I didn't vote for him I do have some big hopes for the next one.

@August:up:

Just to show that it ain't just the Abrahamic religions with Kerrazy prophets;

Quote:

Surt: "The Black One," chief of the Muspilli, or fire-giants, who will lead the battle against the gods and slay Frey at Ragnarok. His name appears attached to several sources of Icelandic volcanic activities, from the Viking Age to the modern era (the volcanic island flung up off the coast of Iceland in 1963 is called "Surtsey," Surt's Island). The fire that burns the cosmos at Ragnarok is called "Surt's fire". Old Norse Surtr.
Seem familiar? Perhaps there is something to this?:D

Quote is from http://paganandproudofit.com/norse.html

but there's plenty more on Surt ao Swart on the day of Ragnarok

This is starting to sound like real prophecy ... with Rambo Obama taking out bin Laden this week.

Is this too far left or too far right or off the scale?

Iran: "Iman Ali Prophesied a Tall Black man Will Rise to Power in the West Just Before the Return of the Mahdi"....

Barack Obama the "promised warrior" coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?

The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar(meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet's cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a "tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West."Commanding "the strongest army on earth," the new ruler in the West will carry "a clear sign" from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: "Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us."

In a curious coincidence Obama's first and second names--Barack Hussein--mean "the blessing of Hussein" in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means "he is with us," the magic formula in Majlisi's tradition.

What long lost ancient scrap of parchment was this prophecy scribbled on? The back of Obama's birth certificate? It's hard to remember a week ago, but if I recall correctly, Rambo Obama was a Jimmy Carter in the making at the time.

It's just too far......out. I'd file it in the same cabinet with Nibiru, Nessie and Nostradamus.

i believe even Crysis have prophet too,
"They used to call me, prophet":haha:

Castout 05-07-11 04:06 AM

The prophecy meant tall man in black suit would take over the west and world's strongest army. :D

I'd like to add that a particularly short man will take over east and command the world's strongest debate team to take on the west.

:yeah:

the second will take place exactly 45 minutes and 34 seconds from . . . . . now.

Edit:

I forgot to add it will end exactly 9 minutes and 12 seconds after that.

That's superman, he's not a man. So he doesn't count.

Btw i don't mean disrespect or insulting to any prophet just that I think most if not all prophecy are not meant for public knowledge. Come what may come, it's not our business to know what will come.

Armistead 05-07-11 09:58 AM

Always hating on the black man....

Rockstar 05-07-11 01:49 PM

I don't recall ever reading anything about a tall black man ruling over the greatest army on earth in the Hadith or Noble Quran.

Depending who interprets the Mahdi is thought to come from the blood line of Ishmael or Muhammed from the land of Assyria. Not some guy from a tribe in Kenya.

geetrue 01-02-12 10:00 AM

When I first read this prophecy I thought it said that "a tall black man leading the biggest
army in the west would defeat the Muslim nation", but instead it says that he will be with them.

Some Muslims (on those nasty other forums) think this means he will with them in heaven????

The prophecy is very true on "when and where it came from", plus it is even more
true as we enter what could be President Obama's last year in office.

What are the odds of just the first few words much less the ending of the prophecy being true?

"a tall black man leading the biggest army in the west"

A 1,300 year old prophecy no less

PS
Come back all you posters from three years ago ... we have another election to bash around :yep:
