If both you guys want to do some multiplayer, count me in as well. We could do some practicing with two guys on a team against one guy as the opposition. Or, we could do 3 guys on one platform. Not only would it be good practice and learning naval ops but would make things quite interesting to say the least.

There are a lot of opportunities with this sim in terms of team play, playable station platforms and scenario locations and situations. I'm currently gathering information to put together a group of scenarios relating to events in the Black Sea and Georgia. What are your time availabilities?

It is GMT-05:00. But don't let that put you off. I am very flexible when it comes to setting up online gameplay with people from the other side of the world.;) It is 9:40am here right now which means my GMT time is 3:40pm.

After several years without playing DW (and losing the disk), I have also just purchased it again.

Would like to know if there's still people playing it online, and I would appreciate to learn about recent developments (if any).

Best regards from Spain.

There is a rather easy to use calendar over at the CADC including RSVP function. It has proven its usefulness in the poast so you might want to consider using it to schedule games in advance.

Go here : http://www.commanders-academy.com/ and then simply use the link in the Nav Bar on the left labeled "Post Event" (Assumed you are registered and logged in already).

Sounds good to me. I'll do the same. I actually might have some time this weekend for a session since the wife is going to be gone for a time.:) Let's keep in touch.

Neat. That looks pretty good. I'll check this out more thoroughly later. Thanks for the heads-up on this.

I need a hand installing the 1.04 before I can go anywhere yet though, i tried downloading it to desktop and it didnt work, i tried putting it into one of the DW folders and it didnt work - where ought i save it?

Dr.Sid 09-05-08 03:37 AM

Mine come as DangerousWatersPatchv104.exe which you could simply run and that was it.

Blacklight 09-05-08 04:06 PM

The patch is an executable file. You just save it to your desktop (or better yet, back it up onto a CD so you always have it handy). You run it like any other program. An installation wizard will pop up. Keep clicking "Next" . It will automatically find your Dangerous Waters folder and install everything it needs to.

baggygreen 09-05-08 06:49 PM

when i try to save it from the popup i can't run it later. Maybe i'll just have to download it when im not actually playing it then, so i can install it straight over the top :)

Cheers lads

Blacklight 09-05-08 07:09 PM

Download the file to your desktop. Don't run it from the site. Close Dangerous Waters. Run the file on your desktop. Done.
