I've been busy with real life things and have not updated my previous posts. Frankly, I had given up since there was one stumbling block that I've not been able to overcome. I looked at the "crew" medals issue and found a problem with the award system and corrected it when awarding the correct medal to a crewman. However, the problem of receiving the correct medal for the player (Captain) is another story. I've been able to replicate the problem as having the various medals "switched" within the hard coded data files as follows:

The game issued medal
Purple Heart is shown as the --Distinguished Service Medal
Silver Star is shown as the --Silver Star (They got it RIGHT!?!?)
Medal of Honor is shown as the --Navy Cross
Bronze Star Medal is shown as the --Purple Heart
Distinguished Service as the --Bronze Star
Navy Cross is shown as the --Medal of Honor

To have the correct medal "details" shown when clicking on the "award case" medal I've been able to switch the proper medal images, BUT here's the problem for me, the award case within the "Captains Office" will not show the correct image when the dang case is opened. The images of the medals within the case are hard coded and I can not find a work around for the known misrepresentation. The correct labels can be shown but, the correct award for a Bronze Star issued will result in a Purple Heart shown in the case. Since this is the problem, I gave up on presenting a mod that only corrected some of the issues. Sorry, but my opinion is the boy's from Romania need to fix this one. Or they can give us greater access to the game so we can fix it ourselves. Fat chance!! :yep:
