Gosh, I'm such an idiot. I didn't realize there was a thread here about me.

I want to thank everyone so very much for coming through for me. I'm in a very rural area of Virginia which only has dial up still. The fastest I EVER connect is 31.2Kbps. When I tried to download the torrent I had 555:xxx:xx time and it would keep kicking me off.

Every single person who I contacted via PM was first rate and extremely kind to me. I've never witnessed anything like that before and all of you have my absolute most sincere thanks for your kindness and help.

I apologize I did not know of this thread before, but I am very thankful.

There is only one thing we enjoy more than helping people and that is talking about people LoL

Kipparikalle 03-13-08 03:36 PM

These kind of things reminds me that there still is good forums in the internets.

This community is the best community I've ever seen or joined.

I would have sended you over the post the burned GWX 2.0 I have.
But due to the fact that I live in Finland(!) it would take looooong time before the milk cow would reach your position.

Together we stand, divided we fall.

It could be argued that we're actually selfish: we all love the game so much that we want everyone else to have the best possible experience too.:sunny:

Just don't go picking fault with GWX2.0 and make me regret this thread http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9708/piratebf4.gif

Besides.....2.1 should be ready for release....as soon as it's ready http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/9...humbsuprw5.gif

Thank you Platapus. I received the files today. I thank every single one of you for the kind words and offers.

Jimbuna, sir, I assure you I will have no complaints. I have a lot of learning to do. I used to play SH3 when it first came out, but I had a HD failure and no back ups. I went a long time without playing. All of this is very new to me as my last time of playing previously was during rub1.3 or something like that. I am so appreciative of all of the SH3 communities efforts.

I don't know if this is appropriate, and probably not much worthwhile, but I made by altering two files my own officer icons that perhaps someone would like. I will paste them here. I deserve zero credit other than altering two files; Ailantd's Das Boot officer mod and Tikigod's Das Boot loading screens. I think I followed the ethics of giving credit where credit is due, I only changed the Chief, the Exec, the Navigator and the Radioman. If I did wrong I will remove it immediately.

Way to go Platapus!!
Let's see if you can beat me with delivering 2.1!!
:rotfl:

Mr. Munny,
Enjoy Sir!
More will be on it's way soonish.
;)

Platapus 03-14-08 08:21 PM

You are most welcome William,

Now we expect a minimum of 10,000 tons per patrol

You're not alone there, my friend; personal crises kept me from playing for a year and a half. I'm glad you're up and running again. Everyone here gave me great encouragement, and I want to do the same for you.

It absolutely is appropriate. It has become your thread, and as far as I'm concerned it's more than welcome. Of course I have no more weight here than anyone else, but I'm betting they all feel the same.

I just recently reloaded the Das Boot Officers for download myself, but other options are always welcome; and I like your changes.

Oh, is there a download link I missed? Me wants.

Jimbuna 03-15-08 06:42 AM

Steve is correct.....this thread was created FOR YOU.....so post what you like http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...s/thumbsup.gif

Hi Steve, if you want it I can email it, or, if someone tells me where and how to upload it I would be happy to. Thank you for your kind words. I remember you from when I first got SH3 when it came out. You taught me a lot then.

Thank you all for the kind words and help you all have provided. I am sincerely appreciative and humbled.

Sailor Steve 03-15-08 01:26 PM

After avoiding it for seemingly forever, I recently tried FileFront http://www.filefront.com/

It's easy to join, easy to upload and easy to use. And, it's FREE! Barring having my own website I wouldn't use anything else.

Or, if you want to e-mail it to me I'll put it up. Just say the word and I'll PM you my address. Full credit to you, of course.

William Munny 03-16-08 10:01 PM

I just returned from a 54 day patrol. Wow, what an incredible expansion this is. My appreciation to everyone who made this mod. I love it. I sunk two auxillary cruisers and 3 merchants for 32,350 tons.

My log follows in next post.

Thanks guys!
