Ducimus has added ROW to TM Overhaul, I would not add any other ROW elements to this you are just probably asking for some niggling incompatability problem down the road. Also, make sure you add his Patch1 and Patch 2A, check the primary post with the DL information.
I am running TM Overhaul all by itself, eventually RSRDC will be updated, I do miss that piece. But you can still get a great feel for this wonderful mod. The details are just astonishing. Enjoy! |
Hiya Wilcke,

Hmmm... well thanks for that. But riding off into the sunset only to land on the UBI forums 2 days later, doing (apparently) what he swore off from over here...? I mean, unless he burned some serious bridges...? :hmm: Oh well... maybe this all makes sense somehow, or to someone. JD |

"Why aren't you posting at subsim? It is REALLY hard to answer this question without igniting a firestorm. But i will attempt to answer this, as cleanly, and sanely as i can, without any intentional jabs at anyone. It is also my sincere hope that the peoples involved will just let this go as its merely an explantion, not an attack. My reasons are many. When you stay at a place for awhile, and involve yourself with many people, your going to eventually find yourself neck deep in the kimchi one way or another. I feel myself leading into a detail explantion, so im trying to keep this breif. Thinking about how to do this, as its all kind of interwoven..... Ok, the following is just my beleif, my personal opinion, and maybe hard to follow. By and large, most of the userbase at subsim, are fans of Uboats. Nothing wrong with that, ive played uboats for a number of years myself. Now, ive been around subsim awhile, and have rubbed a person or two the wrong way. Of course he rubbed me the wrong way first, so the feeling is mutal. This relationship of "irreconciable differences" wasn't much of an issue because i was in one corner, and he in the other. Now, this person is also the biggest supporter of uboats, in a forum community that per capita, is mostly uboat enthusiasts. I am totally opposite, i am a fan of fleet boats, and arguably one of its biggest supporters, to paraphraise a derogatory term, i am a "member of the church of SH4". (can you blame me? ive been waiting for a PTO game for 12 fricking years!) Now with the impending release of the Uboat add on, there is now a reason for them (and the large number of Uboat enthusiast) to move into "my neck of the woods". Since we already have a bad relationship, and given our colliding interests, whats i forsee happening, is a whole lot of this: http://www.ducimus.net/sh4/drama.jpg Now, considering that this particular ram, has a whole team behind him, as well as a very large percentage of public support, what will really happen is this: http://www.ducimus.net/sh4/drama2.jpg Given the number of uboat enthusiasts on subsim, and other various factors, this is a a battle i know will happen, and a battle that i know I will lose. A whole lot of drama, that i (and everyone else) could just do very well without. Looking ahead, I believe, leaving was the best course of action for me to to take. To sum, it was time to get out of Dodge city before the storm hits - cause i gotta tell ya, man, im getting too old for this s**t. I hope people who are angry at me for leaving subsim, will find this explanation satisfactory and does not incite a riot." End of quote. Here's the source I got it from: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...5/m/6561090636 |
For Ducimus, at whatever port you put into, please remember you'll always have us PTO Fleet Boat jockeys behind you. I'm thankful, and I'm sure that many others are too, that you're continuing your most excellent work on TM even if your not here to answer every nit-picking, RTFM question we might field...;)

That's a shame... a goddamned shame. JD |
I've been here a while and I guess I am oblivious to the U-Boat issue he mentions. I can agree that I too have been waiting 12 years for a return to the pacific, and prefer the pacific myself! I will say that I like all subsims in general but prefer the WWII over modern nuke boats, but thats because I rode the nuke boats and know them all too well. My guesstimate is that its more profitable to sell a UBoat sim because of the appeal in the US and Europe, whereas a pacific sim does better in the US?
I respect him & his decision no matter what. His efforts speak clearly that he loves the fleet boats in the Pacific, hes a generous man and he has every right to decide what he does. I myself grow tired of the nonsense that seems to creep in here and there and everywhere, especially at my work. So no matter, hes only a click away! Thanks again Ducimus  |
I agree. I may be a bit biased myself - being more of a fleet boat fan, and never having bought into the German "uber" mystique - but I clearly see this as an SH4 PTO oriented forum.
I believe the Uboat add-on has it's own forum or sub forum. And so far, with the exception of a few "nuisance raids" a couple of months back, I think the boundaries have been respected. Given that - and it's entirely possible I may be missing something - I have to wonder if he wasn't over-reacting just a little bit... or maybe just a bit premature? But don't get me wrong. I'm not faulting or looking to beat up on the guy - I am fully cognizant and appreciative of the fact he's contributed far more to my life's pleasures than I ever will to his - and it is certainly his decision to make. What I think is a shame is that the threat of some juvenile jack-off(s) walking in here with an agenda, a bad attitude and/or bad behavior is enough to chase off good folks. In any case, I would very much like to see him posting and discussing his work over here again. JD |
