I have a modified version of Trig Maru. (Modified so it doesn't default to alot of the realism option checked on. I'm not that good yet...)

So far, I have yet to get a kill, haven't even seen a merch yet. I'll see if I've got the same problem when I do meet a merch.

However I am loving the new free floating camera :rock:

I have another problem with TM. I am playing without manual targeting. I noticed that most of the torpedoes become dud when they hit the target although I switched off the parameter " Dud torpedoes". It seems that this modification is a little bit too historical correct.

Does anyone of you has made similiar experiences?

Jib01, yes you can uncheck manual tdc with TM. Go ahead and try it.

Now, can anyone explain why the sonar is not working. It doesn't even pick up my own props.

I haven't done autotargeting at all, so really do not know how does it works. Have you checked the fire solution before launching?
If you could creap into some jap harbour and tried with manual targetin to the sitting duck to see if that'll make any difference? And maybe you just could aim with the boat = gyros zero. Then set depth, speed and type of detonator is all you have to do + open the tubes and launch. This way you should got at least one bull's eye. Besides that's something old Seawolf actually did in RL 1942, when there was really problems with eels.

What becomes to sonar, I don't know. Everything is running just fine here.

I have unchecked everything just to see. TM 1.7.6 is designed for Manual Targeting only !!! regardless of what you uncheck.

Sonar works but not at distances that it should. You have to be right on top of something for it to work.

I don't mind Duds, Prematures, Running deep but they should go straight. None will go straight probably because I am not setting manual targeting. I will try one more time with Manual targeting before I give up on 1.7.6.

Try turning the PK on. (Sometimes a small change makes a big diffrence.)

I really can't tell you what the problem is here, I run TM 1.7.6 and only ever use auto targetting with no problems at all (except the realistic dud rates etc.), there is obviously some underlying problem with the game installation or mod order or something similar, like i said, no problems like this at all my end. :hmm:
