Подозрительно хороший русский :))). Игра будет представлять собой пошаговую военно-морскую тактику. Игрок сможет выбрать свою сторону конфликта Гражданской войны - Союз или Конфедерация, после чего откроется доступ для прохождения индивидуальной последовательности миссий связанных общим сюжетом. Под командованием игрока будут канонерские лодки, крейсера, фрегаты и броненосцы, а основными задачами в миссиях будут подавление береговых фортов и батарей, прорыв блокады, перехвать торговых судов и генеральные сражения.

При моделировании кораблей учитывается водоизмещение, конструктивная система защиты корпуса, материалы (дерево, железо, сталь), площадь и толщина брони... Для начала, наверное, хватит...

Класс! Именно что я и хотел - такие игры в последнее время я и ищю. Вы случайно не сталкивались с играми Distant Guns и Jutland? В принципе похоже, с разницей в том что там динамическая кампания а тут, как я понимаю, по сценариям. Впрочем и того мне тоже для начала вполне хватит. Какие у вас планы по поводу сетевой игры и редактора миссий? Это тоже не помешало бы :hmm:

Судя по тематике, думаю на западе игра всё-таки будет издана, иначе мне её придётся импортировать - тоже штука хитрая и посылки оттуда чёрт знает сколько идут.

В общем держите в курсе! По такой тематике, честно говоря, от наших я игры не ожидал - но очень приятно что она всё-таки будет :up:

А что касается помощи - я уже почти магистр по лингвистике, с дипломом из Канадского института. Пишу.

By the way, I don't think it was mentioned in English in the thread yet, but the unannounced game is confirmed to be an ACW game that's indeed in the works based on the aforementioned encyclopedia. :)

Do not worry! Game will be in English.

Game has an editor, for convenience of work language - Russian. But problems in translation will not be, if it is required.

That's great news, I've been waiting for many years for an ACW naval sim the only one that came close was Grolier's "Battle of the Ironclads" back in the mid nineties but that was apparently canned when about 75% complete.

Totem's modelling and rendering look superb, can't wait to see what comes of this.
