I have often thought about just how much harder i could make the game, and truly pwn all, regardless of experience level. :p

:hmm: I wonder if its possible to mod a MK 27 to be an airdopped torpedo off a Betty. That would be sweet. Not realistic, but damn fun if possible. Maybe increase the speed so you can't outrun it. Now were talking hunt for red october stuff. :rotfl:

Ducimus 01-23-08 02:47 AM

ehheheheh i can almost garuntee, in the next version of TM, you wont be slugging it out with tin cans. yes, this is my evil laughter. MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHH complain about it being arcady eh? We'll see about that! :rotfl:

Travis Reed 01-23-08 04:57 AM

Uh, oh...thanks guys, now you've gone and done it...we're gonna see him mod it so that ships can see you at PD now (and will open up with their guns, etc)...

Speaking of which, I've gained a new respect for Duci's planes. First few engagements weren't bad (shot several down), but when the flying boats showed up I noted that they seem to have roughly a 50% or better chance of hitting me. When they do hit, it's almost always a 1 shot kill, may take awhile to die, but there's never enough time to repair.

I learned a long time ago that AA guns are for sinking sampans. Not one bullet goes toward anything with wings on the Kraken. It's kinda like a car horn. Most people honk the horn when they should be evading. Horns are to say "Hi!" or "You posterior of a horse!"

Our gun crews are much happier than in their previous boats.

Pssst! Hey, Bud, over here! I got plans to destroy Ducimus evil planes...just add in an Airstrike mod. Well, actually I think it works. I did that on my TM install and all the planes missed! Bwahahahaaaa!! I even heard he's going to add an A-bomb on a ship-bourne search plane. The man has no shame!:rotfl:

Ducimus 01-23-08 12:30 PM

Destroyers will now have an AC value of 25.

Subs, will now have a ac value 15, (stock is 25)

Player Deck gun shells have always had an armor peircing value less then 25

You do the math.

Rockin Robbins 01-23-08 02:16 PM

25 minus 25 is ahhhh.......errrrrr......

Sounds kind of ARCADEY to me!

DavyJonesFootlocker 01-23-08 03:13 PM

Seee? I told you he was Arcade. Next thing you'll know he'll mod Space Invaders. Somebody stop him!

Ducimus 01-23-08 03:36 PM

You keep that up, and destroyers will have global thermal nuclear cannons, and you a rubber dingy with a trolling motor hooked up to a car battery.

DavyJonesFootlocker 01-23-08 04:01 PM

Ducimus you kill me! You gotta love this guy!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

But if it's any consolation to you, I'm beginning to enjoy TM. Still an RFB freak though.

Ducimus 01-23-08 04:21 PM

Everyone has their preferences.

Im looking forward to getting this last version off my chest. It represents the last bit of modding im going to do, and ill be happy about having most of what i wanted to accomplish done before the uboat addon hits this place like a hurrican. I dont intend to be here for that bit of drama.

Rockin Robbins 01-23-08 09:37 PM

See?

I came from the original RFB. Beery had just abandoned it, SH4 went to patch 1.3 and RFB didn't follow. So I tried TM in desparation. You should see my first post after getting taught a lesson by TM Japanese escorts. I accused them of having X-ray vision. Complained about how unrealistic it was.

Then I became possessed. Now my soul is gone but I'm having fun. I robotically defend TM too much of the time though and I have an unaccountable attraction for black cats. My head also can rotate 360º.:arrgh!: It was worth it.

EMP depth charge should do the trick, always wonder why ppl want to nuke things. It leaves such a mess.

" I'm sure he's thought about it."
I can relate.

dean_acheson 01-25-08 10:29 AM

what file changes the deck gun's hitpoint value?

DavyJonesFootlocker 01-25-08 04:18 PM

I wanted Duci to mod in human torps. Think about it.

Ran out of ammo? Death staring you in the face? Well, don't despair 'cause ta-daa! Ducimus' Human Torpedo Mod is here! Just chuck in the old cook or watchman into the tube and whammo- you got that Kongo Battleship you've always wanted!

-This ad was brought to you by the kind sponsors of Arcadia International-:yep::lol:

But thanks to you Lord Ducimus, I'm going to have a fun weekend with the new TM version.

(DJF runs far away from Ducimus' angry charge).
