If any beer should be the subsim official beer, it should be this:

Agreeing with Ramius and SUBMAN (wow! :p)

I'd make the official drink Absinthe, but if it has to be a beer, then either Staropramen or McArdles ale, brewed in my hometown :)

I'm not sure you could handle a Jolly Roger Ale! :D You'd be tanked off the first one!

Hell no - that stuff is like water. Nuke subsimmers are a stronger breed who need a stronger beer. None of this panzy stuff.

I don't even know anyone that drinks fosters.

baggygreen 12-11-07 01:00 AM

Thats cos its the poor quality stuff we don't care if we get less of.

Thats why the good stuff isnt available overseas, we're selfish buggers who wanna keep our beer to ourselves!:rotfl:

Reaves 12-11-07 01:04 AM

I'll drink to that!!

:rotfl:

-I actually won't be drinking as last night I endured a heavy night out where I forgot to eat dinner and as a consequence i'm still feeling like a turd in a portaloo.

Wife Beater?! urgh! (stella artrois)

Give me Moreland "Old Speckled Hen" (fine strong ale) any day of the week over that chemical 'headache in a can' crap. http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl...-8&sa=N&tab=wi

Newcastle Browne Ale is fine if you want loose bowels the next morning :o But I wouldn't recommend it...

"Bishops Finger" is good too http://static.flickr.com/118/279012493_0d7dd915cf_o.jpg

Also "Bishops Tipple" http://images.google.co.uk/images?gb...=Search+Images

"Theakstons Old Peculiar" is nice also.

Wife Beater gives you a bad head (whilst drinking it  )
But you just can't beat a bottle of Dog, or hows about a can of Red Death ? :|\\

jumpy 12-11-07 04:37 AM

Who you calling 'southern'?! :stare:
I'm from the midlands...
Anyways, you try drinking 8 bottles of newky brown and see what I mean the next morning... if you have the 'stomach' for it lol :rotfl:

Do you mean Dogbolter?

Boris 12-11-07 05:22 AM

Astra... rough as guts, but it's a true sailor beer

:rotfl: :rotfl: Thought the southern thing might get a nibble

Well since I was brought up of the stuff, the side effects you mention don't really have any effect on me
Just the usual felling like #@# after a night out.

"Dog" is another name for Newcastle Brown Ale

Kapitan_Phillips 12-11-07 05:45 AM

I like Stella. Infact I like all beers.

Even Budweiser.
