http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=41157 This is ridiculous. McLaren should take it like men and get over it. |
:nope: You seem to forget a man called Ron Dennis.

Why is everyone shunning Hamilton? I feel sorry for the lad as he put he all into the title race this season, and was much more mature than alonso was when things didn't go to plan. "they wanted him to win for buissness reasons", perhaps so, or maybe they just wanted to see a British lad hold the championship for once??! The way some people are going on its as if theres some global conspiricy to give hamilton the title!
|
just imagine the sh!t storm if it was alonso who had a gearbox fault, here would be on TV declaring sabotage while spain would be readying a invasion fleet to take woking.
hamilton did very very well this season, which put a lot of peoples noses out as it was expected he would be thrashed by alonso. people dont like succesful people, it makes us jealous and bitter. |

Don't get me wrong, Alonso has whined a lot (Too much for my taste, as even if all he says is true, he should have accepted and got over it like a man and then move to another team acting like a true professional) and Hamilton has been incredibly quick. But he has been obviously favoured by the press, Dennis and the FIA, even if he and Alonso competed on an equal basis. And I never have liked to feed whatever the media want me to, but instead I prefer to have my own criteria. And that criteria is: Kimi is the champ! Well deserved!! |
He fought and he have lost. It's simple.
What makes people angry (except British;) ) is those big fishes trying to make Hamilton the next Schumacher. If he is great driver (he is) then he will make great career in F1 without such "help". |
What a farce by the race stewards not to punish Williams and BMW for fuel irregularities, rules are rules. McLaren will push the matter and the chances of any punishment are slim as we all know the FIA and Ferrari sleep in the same bed. I'm angry not because Hamilton is British and if the decision goes his way he will be the world champion. It's the fact the rules are being bent and this for me is not playing the game. The FIA are very quick to throw the book at McLaren but when it comes to other teams it's a different matter.
During the race Hamilton made a mistake attacking Alonso and paid the price as for the other matter of his engine sputtering for 30 to 40 seconds which knocked him down the field was a pure technical matter. Don't get me wrong I am not sticking up for McLaren who made a massive blunder in China not getting Hamiton in for a tyre change much earlier, I'm not even knocking Kimi Raikkonen who drove well. If McLaren fail in there appeal I for one will have lost all faith in the FIA and the rules. |

F1 lost all credibility long ago, it's sad but true. What a pity that I can't get to see ChampCar and IRL here in Spain, otherwise I would not bother seeing F1 races. |

I take it your not interested in subscribing to the Bernie Ecclestone Appreciation Society then ? :hmm:

Something smells bad with this Hamilton schtick if ya asks me and the investigation.... I reckon for whatever reason the FIA want him to be champ... maybe for media relations? Cause he is a young black rookie?
or, maybe its because a lot of big people invested big bucks in him and all their money went down the chute? In any case, good on Raikonnen. (how do I know about F1, I kinda got into it, with my dad and brother watching it loads) |
Looks like i picked abloody good race to miss *sigh* women and this dating nonsense:shifty:
Anyway good for Kimi that he took the championship, was well deserved, tough luck for Hamilton with the echanical difficulties, but he will be a champ sooner or later. Alonso and his whiny spoiled atitude can go burn in hell:stare:. As for the whole season, it has been draped in shame. The whole Ferrari McLaren business has been a farce since if one would follow the letter of the rule both should have been penalized just the same. The fuel temperature irregularity has been explained by someone prior to my post and was the right call by stewards. Hope to download the race soon so i can see for myself, from what i hear from the lads i sualy watch races with it was great. For next season im mainly looking to see a better performance out of Kubica, currently my favorite driver in the series, though not really a title pretendent this year. Allso hope to see Marko Asmer behind the wheel of one of those F1 machines in the next few seasons, though it is unlikely it will be the coming one. |
Well Hamilton is saying he doesn't want to win by default. Fair enough. I also don't want to see that. Kimi scored most points due to a combination of very good driving and Hamilton's bad luck.
Hamilton has next year to think about. Hitman I know you and I are at the opposite ends in that I like Hamilton and you support Alonso but having looked at other news sources ie non UK ones, Alonso didn't do himself any favours with the comments he made this year. |
Gotta agree (#21) :yep:

I am not really a fan of Raikkonen, all I like is that he does not play the endless silly stupid say-nothing-in-a-lot-of-dumb-words-reporter-games, but somehow I expected some fate in his favour. Of the three, I would rate him to be a real "iceman" in cockpit, and I must admit I do not like Alonso. I find him very arrogant.
However, it was Alonso saying in an intervie with Spanish radio that it would be a bad idea to try to hand the championship to Hamilton at the green table, that would be a great damage to the sports. but while this could be noble indeed, it also could mean that in fact he was only firing a final broadside against McLaren, whom he wishes to leave after a catastrophic season. I think the future will be Hamilton's. And it would not be undeserved if he carries on like he hast started. It could likely have been the last season for the champ's (there is only one champ, remember! :D ) brother remaining on the circuit, ralph Schumacher. He never met the high expectation, not in this and not in previous years. He failed in the decisive things that his brother succeeded in: to form a team around him, to prepare them and himself, to train for victory. Only big comments, and finger-pointing at others. as a german newspaper headlined a story on him: "Overpayed, overrated, overtaken". I would not miss him. It seems the teams currently think the same. |
