:o Excellent, Sir! The scene of the air strike, it is totally amazing!
For my part, I find myself with health problems that I have moved away from the issue of the third chapter. What I will return as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I enjoy your great work! :yep: |

Video advice
I've made some 'movies' in the past with other games but am now stymied by SHIV. I'm hoping it's just a matter of settings but realize it's probably my system.
AMD 64 2.3Ghz 2 Gig RAM nVidia Geforce 7800 AGP (256m) I normally use FRAPS with no problem but when trying to use it with SHIV as soon as I hit the 'record' hotkey, the game literally stutters to a halt (aka FPS=1, LOL). I'm assuming SHIV (as opposed to SHIII) is sucking up way more resources which leave no room for recording video. If however, there's a setting or something I'm not aware of I'd appreciate a heads up. thanks, Tomaz |
I've seen some excllent SH4 movies during my first days involved with this Sim.
I've been involved in the making and hosting/distribution of Flight Sim movies for many years. One Movie-Maker forum is here at the UBI Forums: UBI Movie-Maker Forum In that community, youtube movies are considered to be of such poor quality and resolution as to be irritating....with very rare exceptions. The loss in quality comes from the conversion from a *.AVI or *.wmv file/movie into the "Flash" format used by youtube. The exceptional graphics of SH4, particularly with the ROW mods, should really be prominently displayed in the movies which you are producing in this community....that means hosting the movies at a location other than Youtube. One of the very best is Stage 6 and/or Gamerz Theaterwhere you can place your movies free of charge for high quality streaming. I would strongly urge those of you who have uploaded your videos to Youtube to consider re-uploading your high quality (AVI/WMV) versions to one of these two Site/Hosts. As a side note, if interested, here is our Flight Sim Machinima website which was established precisely for the purpose of providing links to stream or download the Best-of-the-Best movies ever produced from the IL2-FB-PF-1946 WWII flight sim series. At last count a total of 60 movies are catalogued at FSM). |
Thanks for the tip on Stage 6! I had some issues encoding to Div X, but I think I have sorted it out. No more Youtube for me!

Awaiting the next installment with the new system:D

At least Next time you make a video it will be working for you! Again thank's for the dedication at the end of it for me! I am flattered to say the least! :sunny: |
Stabiz Spielberg. There just isnt any other way to put it.
|
Spectacular! As always, Sir! :yep:

WOW Stabiz. The new program to run these is out of this world. The graphics in this game enhanced with ROW makes it look very realistic. Another great one with nice shots of the action. I like the camera view of the damaged DD.....side blown out.
Again, the new program really is great and shows off the work much better than utube. |

Very nice movie...Glad to see it hosted at Stage6 rather than 'youtube'! That makes a lot of difference in the quality. I watched it "full-screen".

What video capture programs are you using?
I'd like to make a video with SHIV but FRAPS won't work with it (the game basically stops when I try to start recording with FRAPS). FRAPS works with every other game I have (IL2 1946, COD2, SHIII) except SHIV. Should I look for another video program or are my specs too low? Any advice/tips is greatly appreciated.
System specs: AMD 64 3100 (2.4Ghz) 2 Gig RAM Nvidia 7800 256m AGP Viewsonic 22" flatscreen cheers, :) |
What fps are you getting before you hit the record button?
