I'm always surprised that someone would rather resurrect a two-year old thread on a subject than just start a new one....but okay. Bring on DC2. Bring on AC/DC as well.

People forget that DC 1 was a colossal flop, selling very few copies. A financial bloody nose is taken as a lesson by businesses and they are unlikely to make the same mistake twice. They are also very aware that when people say what they want, they often lie. When the product they were clamoring about is manufactured the people who demanded it are nowhere to be found.

Put the two ideas together and I think you can come to the conclusion that DC2 is an unlikely possibility. At best something like it could be integrated into a game as a no risk proposition. But I wouldn't expect it to be developed as an independent product and I doubt much effort would go into it as an integrated feature.

I'd love to be wrong!

It'd be nice if they'd just add enemy subs that dive, evade, stalk, and torpedo.

Hey, I bought it. Shouldn't that be enough?:rotfl:

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. Companies do exist for the purpose of making money, and if the one I liked didn't, there's not much I can do about it but whine.

Still, I'm one of the skimmer fans who'd love to chase u-boats again.

If it had come out on time ... at the same time as SH2 ... it probably would've done a lot better. Also, its selling point was its ability to integrate with SH2 multiplayer. By itself, it wasn't much of a game. And, at the time, MP was a dial-up proposition for most players. Unfortunately, the SH/DC combination didn't work too well on dial-up.
