One of your crewmembers is a Master Ninja Assassin:arrgh!:. Find and kill him and you will be fine.

I am curious too. Not that I have had this happening, but why keep the solution secret? Or is the battlestation thing the solution??

I believe it's from leaving the crew constantly on battlestations.

It's not this unless there's a bug with the fatigue concerning battlestations. My crew only went to B S one time when I hit a convoy, and I stood them down as soon as the action was over. I'm leaning toward planes getting in while on high TC. I'm guessing that in the few moments when the Nav Map goes from night to day is when it's happening, because on high TC that can be several minutes of gametime. Anyway, I'm gonna try and pick-up that last mission from a save and give it another run while paying closer attention to the Day/Night changes. I'll post back with what happens.

OK, I picked up that doomed mission from it's last save point. I now feel pretty confident in saying it's aircraft doing the mischief. I surfaced when the nav map switched to night and two Vals jumped me as I broke the water. Barely survived that encounter only to have it repeated just before sunrise and again the next night. Didn't make it through that last one. At any rate, I guess those little bastards can take-off and land in the dark. Reloaded the mission again and had no trouble when I waited for true dark before venturing to the surface. Lesson learned. If anybody still has this problem, post it, so I'll know we're still looking for the solution. Now, can someone spring me from the brig? I'm gonna steal a boat and head back out.

Same thing happened in my first mission.

At some point I got bombed. Some tower-stuff took damage, and the crew members on watch lost a bit of health.

Since then, I take some damage periodically when surfaced. I thought it was some aftereffect gone bad (as it only happened after I got hit), but it is also possible that it could be unnoticed air raids.

Watching Das Boot out of frustration atm :)

This is frustrating since theres no definatley cause or solution, it could be air attacks, but why wont the time stop to inform us of this?

It is usually the watch tower ppl that die though

I think I've got this woked out

I got bombed on patrol and lost two members of my deck watch. Damage was pretty bad, so I decided to head back to port. I cranked up the time compression and, after a moment, got one of those 'man down' messages. Sure enough, another deck watchman had died.

I took a close look at each man on watch and noticed that some of them were below 100% health. The next time I got a 'man down' notice I went to see who it was. Lo, and behold, the most heavily injured guy (health was down to 17 or something) had died.

It seems that some wounded men get progressively worse as time goes by. What I don't know is if you can slow or stop the degeneration of their health by taking them off duty somehow.

Can anyone else confirm that injured sailors continue to lose health?
