Let me tell u, Hunter Class is nothing more than a piece of crap. Owing little amount of K-gun and DC rack, it can NEVER pose a threat.

I fear River & Black Swan DE most. Although they are slow, their armarment, and techology coperated proves a tough opponent

XXi 03-03-07 10:13 AM

I won`t be original here. Black swan frigates are scarying me. Same with flower corvettes, too. Many DDs give up or run out of DCs and these nasty pests are still there, still pinging, still throwing DCS...

Keelbuster 03-03-07 12:25 PM

Black Swan class are the worst. They can carry 10 DC launchers and a hedgehog plate. When they do a DC run it's like being in the center of a pre-registered 105 barrage. I fear the Black Swan.

:o

Yup i ran up against a swan last night took me over an hour real time to get away from the bugger and it managed to nearly depth charge me to death was down to 36% hull:down:

High Voltage 03-03-07 01:41 PM

As long as I can keep heading down, i don't worry about what's up there...;);)

leeclose 03-03-07 01:44 PM

Yup mate run silent run deep and leave the skimmers guessing:up:

azn_132 03-03-07 01:48 PM

Black Swans and Rivers are my worst enemy at 1943 below that tribals.

leeclose 03-03-07 02:15 PM

I bet back in the day real Skippers must have thought they had the hounds of hell after them kinda scary just thinking about it......:yep:

Thats why I chose River FF over Black Swans

The rivers have less surface armament than the Swans

but they carry the same # of D/C's but with fewer launchers
so they can stay on top of you even longer with more slightly
smaller patterns plus they have the HH and their brains came
from the Black Swans.

Definately the Number one ASW Frigate in my book

they are astoundingly tough and tenacious opponents and
Occasionally seem to have Clairvoyance 2.0 installed.

I cant thank BBW enough for making them.

also the final of River with the corrected visual model will
be ready very soon. But I still play regularily against the
Beta version, as it is one of the great challenges in sh3
to survive four of them on top of you.

(Beta RiverFF type 2 available on my File Front.)
Take the Challenge Kaluens there are worse monsters
in the deeps than the swans.

J class.

not in the traditional DC sense. twice now i've tried to dodge it coming down on my scope, twice i've been too late. i died both times. the second time its bow took my watch tower straight off and death was immediate (destroyed by collision). i was probably decapitated

i've played too much fps, and i sometimes enjoy strafing around ships just for a cheap thrill. i also forget that subs don't go from reverse to flank forward very quickly :88)

Hehe srry that made me laugh a lot yup this is true and think all Kaleuns at some point or another forget this to the point they go damm no instance dive bugger there goes another boat.... All good fun and stop playing FPS u will go blind or is that something else....:hmm:

TriskettheKid 03-03-07 05:03 PM

HMS Hood and Iowa-class BBs.

Those are the only two ships that I have yet to one-shot. I fear them because I value every one of my torpedoes, and both eat them up.

leeclose 03-03-07 05:21 PM

yup and with good reason there scary ship i came across a convoy in one of the AM's today and slap dab in the middle was a revenge class. I literally kacked me pants there was deffinatly the smell of fear in the air after that.

XXi 03-03-07 06:35 PM

Just an hour ago I escaped two Black Swans & some DE. Had to go below 290m to be safe, they kept losing contact and picking it up very quickly. I didn`t count the amount of DCS thrown, but there were dozens of them.
Still, it seemed that they`ve made too much mess in the water so I could get away after 2hrs battle... not that bad I dare say.

AVGWarhawk 03-03-07 06:35 PM

The warship I fear the most hmmmmmmmmmmm..............

The one over me dropping crap on my ride man!!!:o

leeclose 03-03-07 06:42 PM

Any battle that you surviv and take home at least half your boat and some of your crew albeit in the boats freezer is a good:up:

Crazy Ian 03-03-07 09:26 PM

*Looks worriedly to the skies*

I'm sure I just saw a Sunderland in the twilight....

stabiz 03-03-07 09:34 PM

I always go "damn" inside when my scope passes over a Black Swan. They have a cool name and eat uboats.

I actually suspect they huddle together in Scapa and feast on old uboat-remains when we are not looking.

Black Swan for me, followed by everything that carries tins on the back, and planes way down the list. They DO get me sometimes, but you are safe when you dive, not so with the chaps in the machinegun-strapped Formula 1 death machines.

leeclose 03-03-07 09:47 PM

Ive been cought unwares once with Elcos i was at the head to coem back and find they had turned my boat into a sponge wasnt to happy about that bloody thing came outa no where so dont under estimate the elco's:ping:
