That's pretty damn cool. You have to wonder if the Destroyer crews ever regreted seeing oil and debree after a depth charge's detonation or if it was just glee. After all, it is killing 60-70 fellow seamen at one go.

Probably not. It's like flying a fighter, you're not killing a fellow pilot, you're shooting down an enemy plane. Likewise an enemy ship, unless you see bodies in the water, and even then it might not make too much difference.

I say this in spite of the fact that I was somewhat sickened when I took radio reports from the marines thanking us for fire support and giving body counts.

Oh, and it's spelled "debris".

Exactly, their mentality was probly, better them than us. I would feel the same way.

At least for me it would be more scary and inmersive in the terrorific moments a sub is being depth charged. (sorry for my English)

you can try it in sh3 with depth charges shake mod.

really scary

I did try the mod but to be fair I did not like it very much, is just more of the swin left and right and is not the effect we see in the pictures and movies, have you ever play call of duty 2 when there is an artillery barrage, well a bit like that

StandingCow 02-27-07 10:05 AM

Yea, the shaking and sorta blur during a depth charge would make it a bit more freaky and add a lot to the feel of the game.. and should not be that hard for them to add.... I would think.
