Hey, don't think it is too far-fetched. Ubisoft released R6: Lockdown on CD and it came with 5 CDs.

At the rate at which games and technology are growing, it won't be long before we're going to be frustrated that some games are shipping on multiple DVDs.

Amazon is now reporting SH4 as being released on March 20. What is going on with all these release dates? EBGames says March 13, Gamespot says March 13, but Amazon says March 20, and I have heard other people on these forums say several different dates from March 6 thru March 23.

Is the final release date still being decided on? Which date should I believe?

Mine (from Amazon) says DELIVERY date is March 17th to the 20th. I can handle that.

Mine still says March 15th - which includes the 2 day delivery I selected - this tells me that the first batch has been sold out - and you are seeing the date for the second. Should have ordered earlier.

I am not ordering my at any site. I intend on buying in the store when it is released. I have never seen a game come out sporadically like you are suggestion. It wouldn't be cost effective for UBI to release a game like that. Games go gold, are sent for reproduction, and then they are massively reproduced to go out to all the retailers at once. They may do a second and third reproduction run if necessary several months from now. Amazon will get its main order all at once.

I doubt Silent Hunter 4 is being sent out like this. Amazon is specifically saying that this game's "Release" date is March 20, meaning it won't be available for anyone until March 20.

All of them. Each date is right for the link in the supply chain it's for. Each link's got to then release it to the next. The consumer is always the last link in the food chain. Be patient, it will come.

The new release date is definitely March 20. Amazon had the "Head's Up" on this bit of news, and was obviously the first place to post the new release date for us here in the United States/Canada.
