No, I must disagree. It's not about what is better and what it worse. It's about who likes something more than a different, or even similar thing.
You can't say „pepsi is better than coke”, but you could say „I prefer pepsi” or „I dislike coke”, unless you provide us with some scientifical research on „what is better” topic and their result will be undoubtful... :) So - I prefer GWX, simply after reading GWX and NYGM manuals I chose it. It fitted me better. It was also newer. And it had much bigger stress on realism, which I like. And now I can say I chose good (and it's possible I'd say that after choosing NYGM also). Bests. |

I prefer gwx, I have got the feeling that gwx is complete, while nygm has still room for improvement.

I played NYGM before GWX and therefore made a dual install.
GWX has more ships, more scripted campaigns, more available bases. In NYGM I like the reworked crew compartments, the way it handles DD patrols, the fatigue system, the starting crews and a few other things. Against escorts both require the same basic tactics, have not noted until now a big difference in that part of the game, but have only made 2 patrols in the Med with GWX, so a little early to have a definitive opinion. They have a different approach on the "anti hummingbird", in GWX when you stop you go upwards, in NYGM you sink... If you play with map contacts on, the "assisted plotting" system in NYGM is nice to use. I plan to keep on using both.:D |
Thanks every one who posted here, I loaded GWX, so now I have two installs running one of each.
Thanks again, and stay silent and stay alive.... |
